I need a mentor to hold me accountable. I am looking for someone who has had at least minimal success and who is willing to take the time to work with me and to help me accomplish

Thanks for all of the help and responses! I'm glad to hear everyone's thoughts and advice. Your input is very helpful in guiding me in the right direction.

Sent you a PM.

Ashley you did the right thing by asking as you won't know what is available unless you ask so well done on that.

Just keep asking question here when you have issues and go through the lessons where you can also asked at the end of each lesson. You are the best mentor just keep believing in yourself and perhaps keep a diary.
The link below is from one our members that you can learn a lot from I have. This is just one of her links. You can also go to her profile which is JennPGD and look up blogs at the top scroll down and pick what interests you. There is a lot to learn not to mention from other members just type a question or keyword at the top and you may find many other ideas and solutions to support you along the way.

Wishing you well.
P.S Don't skip Kyle;s lessons there will always be something you need and that will be in the one you skipped.

To tell you the truth it is hard to try and mentor someone unless you are standing right over top of them and watching what they are doing. Everyone here is also building there business and keeping it up to par to stay ahead of the competition. Your best bet is to stay focused and study all of the courses at your own pace, there is no time limit here. Do not get me wrong we are all here to help you out if you get stuck on something. But if there is anyone out here that has that type of time to help you and keep there business going more power to them. You can always ask me any question that you are stuck on and I will be happy to help when I have time and if I don't someone else is sure to fill in. So get your learning hat on and get to studying when you have the time.
Good Luck

Have you asked the person who referred you in to WA?

I stumbled upon WA myself while researching internet marketing. I know it's a long shot, but I won't know if I don't ask.

Did you receive a welcome message soon after you signed up? I also stumbled upon WA, but someone put that link on the internet. That person is the one who referred you in.
I am extremely technologically challenged. I have been here since April. The people in this community have helped me every step of the way. But I am "so dense" I just today realized I could write a blog, click on the FB like button and it would show up on my Face Book.
I have asked the most simple basic questions. People have given answers I can understand.
When you need someone to encourage you, let me know and I will do my best.
Another thing you can do is follow other people in the community. That gives you more people seeing your questions. We are family here and we love to help. I am still learning the newborn baby stuff so I know how patient and helpful this community is.
Best wishes

Hey Ashley,

Most of the members here are building their own business so they are learning themselves. But everyone is helpful if you have a question. If you feel like you need feedback or help with anything, don't be afraid to use the live chat or ask the question like you did now.

Also everybody finds WA by themselves, but usually through someone who points you in the right direction :) In this case it was:

You can see it by visiting your profile, He has left you a few messages. Hes very helpful and I'm sure if you have a question he will happily answer it for you.

That is right you need to ask the questions. To find out who you signed up with go to the very beginning of your followers page and find the very first person that welcomed you here and that should be the person you signed up under and ask them if they can mentor you a little and I will be more then happy to help also.
Good Luck

Having just one person to help you seems limiting. Following the other suggestions here is the best course of action. Whenever you have a question or need help with something, make a post. Then the collective intelligence here on the forum is available to help you through the challenges.

Just ask questions from the community Ashley, don't stay stuck..we are all here to help one another out!! Kim :))

I don't know if anyone will take on that responsibility. It really is up to you to keep yourself moving forward.

The courses are well laid out and will give you a direction to move in to learn what you need to know.

I won't mentor you but you are always welcome to come and ask for help with anything you need. I can point you to relevant tutorials or training that will help you get over a hump.

As for organization, I would give trello.com a look and see if it will help you to stay organized.

I recommend that you get in touch with Nathaniell, he brought you in and is very knowledgeable. I'm sure he will get you moving in the right direction.

Hello Ashley. I published a blog this topic some weeks ago. I hope it will help you with Google images. Be blessed.

Personally, I use https://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/ and link to the persons profile if you use there image.

There are A LOT of grey areas with regards to images. Most of the time if you give attribution and try your best to images that say they are free to use you'll be totally fine. In a very rare instance someone will ask you to remove an image but all you have to do is take it down and say sorry.

Thank you a whole lot! (:

Hi Ashley,

You can take anything from the web but you need to give the source their due credit for the photo by simply putting the link of the source's website.

Here is what I am doing if the only way to put an image is to use something from anywhere in the web...
- Open MSPowerpoint
- Insert the image I've taken from the internet (or downloaded initially)
- Change the background using the available designs in Powerpoint.
- Format the image and do little tweaking on the color, corrections or artistic effects
- Save the file a new type JPEG from the file type options.

Tada! It is already a new image. :)

All the best,
Jhen

Sorry to chime in here, but you cannot just take anything from Google and give credit. You need to check the permissions for each image. Images are indexed in Google, but it doesn't mean you can download and use them for your own site, even with attribution.

Thanks for the clarification Nathaniel, yes permission checking is needed.

At times, sites are differentiating the rules for bloggers and much of the copyright laws are clearer for business purposes. For blogging purposes as in the case of personal blogs - for others giving "credit" is an added popularity and traffic generation stream.

Cheers, Jhen

Thank you for your help! (:

Pixaby.com is a great source for photo's and images, but for specific's not too sure, you can see what they have though.
Kim

Some of the images available on Google are still subject to copyright laws. So just to be on the safe side, I would actually suggest using a different site to obtain legally free images. Here is a post on the topic, actually. I hope you find it useful. :)
