Annoyances

I'm feeling bitter.

Bitter and annoyed and uncomfortable.

Why does it feel like I'm a bloody scammer? Like the blog I intended to have has turned into a joke, a messy tangle of links and hopes and disappointments. I don't like it.

Throw in actual physical products to sell so the whole thing doesn't feel so hopeless. Also useless, of course.

I've written my whole life. It's easy for me. Selling this shit? Sigh.

I don't know if I'm cut out for this.

I can't help but feel both used and dirty. I mean here we all are, promoting peoples crap classes, or products, or whatever, for free. ALL THE TIME! And the funny thing is it's not even actually free, because to have the website and the trainings and the bullshit is actually like 50-60 a month.

And for every one of us doing it, there's also clickbank's competition, there's all the other bloody "affliate" marketers out there, with more time and higher ratings and GAAAHHH i'm seriously just annoyed with it today.

Sometimes we just have to work through the frustration.

I know, I know.

I'm getting there. I've been more active trying to post articles or posts that are more information and less sales person.

I've also stopped letting myself be on here all day.

I write what I write, and if i don't finish, I will tomorrow. Because like everyone says, it's not ever going to be perfect the first go around. And accepting that and coming back fresh is alot more beneficial than the desire to chuck my computer or ditch this place all together. (lol)

But thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Yaaay Ashley!!!

I like you already!!! Hahaha!!

Affiliate marketing is simply ONE way to earn money online, and the main method taught here.

That doesn't mean it's the only way.

Plus, in all the years I've done this, I have been fairly outspoken about the make money online niche, also a niche I have completely avoided this whole time.

I just find the niche itself to be somewhat insincere, and it has a way of making SOME (not all) people insincere too, this is especially true when those who have never made any money online are trying to "teach" others how to make money online.

Plus, throw a hint of desperation into the mix, well, it's not something I want anything to do with.

I'm not going to lie and say I don't do affiliate marketing, of course I do, but most people are aware here at WA that I make most of my income...

Wait for it...

WITHOUT SELLING A THING WHILE TRYING TO GENUINELY HELP PEOPLE.

What??!!!!

Go figure, right!!! Hahaha.

As I say, there's more than one way.

You can go to my profile here at read a few of my recent WA blogs.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/parthab/blog

I even created a couple of income-style reports a couple of weeks ago, so you can see the HUGE income potential WITHOUT having to sell a thing.

For me, creating a website has always been:

Find a niche that won't bore you to death within a month.

Research to find out what people in that niche ACTUALLY WANT TO KNOW, what are their problems, learn what that ACTUALLY want, rather than shoving a load of crap products down their throat.

Creating content to solve those problems, and YES, you CAN solve someone's problems JUST by writing an article, providing a solution, WITHOUT selling a thing, I.e. You can be GENUINE, as opposed to turning into a sales robot, lol.

Funnily enough, just being a smart, intuitive person, who genuinely wants to help others, can lead to huge success (and not just financially, it kinda makes you feel good inside too... Who knew!!! Hahaha.)

Man, I like this "when those who have never made any money online are trying to "teach" others how to make money online."

Hahaha!! You know me well enough by now Jovo, say it like it is, LOL.

Personally, I don't actually see anything wrong with it, but it's rather how it is approached.

You can basically go into ANY niche without any experience, but I would prefer a "follow my journey" type blog, rather than, "let me teach you".

So, in the MMO, as an example, I feel it would come across as far more sincere and genuine to be as follows:

"Today, I learned how to setup WordPress, here's what I did step-by-step", etc.

"Today, I published my first ever article and learned about SEO. These are main points I found really helpful".

So, as the blogger is learning, they share their learning journey with their visitors.

Tbh, people would love to read a blog like that. We all LOVE the underdog, and typically we want to see them succeed.

Plus, you get the chance to watch someone grow into their journey if they are simply writing about what they've learned in this type of step-by-step manner.

Another Brit, Dean Holland, actually started out around 10 years ago in the MMO niche, and did exactly this.

He's still going over a decade later and has made himself a success.

However, going back to his first ever blog posts, it was all, "This is what I learned today, I'm a bit sceptical, but I'm going to try it to see what happens".

You couldn't help but like Dean, as he came across as extremely genuine.

Great thoughts here again. I like it and "liked" it, agree with all you say.

Related to the main topic of the blog that Ashley shared here, it was a sad moment for me when 8 years ago in my mountaineering site I started doing products reviews of items that I did not own. Though it was easy because I knew the niche well.

I felt l sold my soul and ruined everything on the site that is so personal and important to me.

So to Ashley, follow advises from Partha, check his blogs and find a way to write about things you love. You say writing is easy for you. Great, then write about things you know, and there is no need to sell anything. Help people by providing useful information. Partha is an example that this can be done that way.

But do go through courses here as you will learn many practical things that will be useful.

Hey, sorry I didn't immediately reply to this. I know your inbox is backed up anyways (lol).

I appreciate the info and I have switched directions in my writing style.

I actually just finished an article that took me wayyy too long, but Instead of selling anything I just answered basically what my niche is about, where it was founded, linked in the books that "created" my niche, and had fun with the images.

https://lotusluna.org/the-new-age-movement-what-is-it/

If you'd like to check it out. It's my first kind of post like this, and I'm kinda unsure. It's very school paper like, honestly.

It is pretty long, but it answers questions, and the only articles I've seen written about it are from a "christians" point of view so I figured at the very least it would be a fresh perspective. (I also kept a non-bias more informational standing on it)

Stick with us, it gets better, trust me ;)

Wow, I'm sure all of us at some point will or have already felt exactly like you do right now and I have to be completely honest too, I'm still a bit skeptical and unsure about my ability to accomplish what Kye and Carson has said.
But like you said you feel bitter and upset TODAY, tomorrow is the chance to start fresh and new so, please don't give up. you may regret it in the end. I'm sure everyone who has started a business or invented the newest gadget had to make some kind of monetary investment at some point, don't you agree?

2

I'm honestly not harping on the training. I absolutely adore the step by step and the live help and even the classes. Even if I never make an affiliate sale I still built a store that my daughters and I love to play with, and maybe it'll grow into something, someday. But so far the affiliate side makes me seem spammy and untrustworthy.
I think I'm going to back off on promoting and just write more. Book reviews, something I'm very happy to write. I just don't know if I should be creating multiple sites to sell on or try and focus on my main one.

2

If you are happy with writing for the site that you already have, I would stick to that one. Because otherwise, you WILL sound "spammy".
I actually love writing product reviews for my niche, as I use them myself, and it shows! (and I get free stuff now from sellers lol). And I don't "feel dirty" anymore. (that being said, off course sometimes I need to write a blog post that I don't like at all, sometimes I have those written by other writers)
