For many, Memorial Day is for grillin' and chillin' with family and friends, but let's take a minute or two to remember the service men and women who never came home. As a veteran, to those who have served and those currently serving, I salute you! Enjoy the day, but don't forget them.

Hello to all who commented on my blog yesterday, thank you. This is not meant to be a retraction to the one person who said it shouldn't have been published. Yes, according to WA rules, we aren't allowed to publish anything religious or politically based. This was not meant, nor intended to be politcally based, but more as historically based. Sorry to remind people of this day 20 years ago, but it needs to stay in our minds. Two songs come to mind this time every year for me, not only as a veteran, but as an American. They are Lee Greenwood's original,"God Bless the USA" also Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red,White and Blue". The main reason this is so near and dear to me is that I lost a friend there that morning and I also was supposed to be in the North Tower that morniing for a delivery at 8:30am.
