Latest Wordpress Update fixes issue on previous update days before
Have you updated your Wordpress? Just a couple days ago Wordpress released their 4.9.3 update however it seems this contained a bug (don't they always) which creates possible problems for anyone wanting to do automatic background updates it may cause it to fail and you may need WA or yourself to fix if you have the skills.
To remedy this Wordpress just release a fix with their update to 4.9.4 that fixes this issue.
Don't forget to do backups before updated to any Wordpress or any other plugins updates from others.

Yes Andre, I backed up mu site, but skipped the 4.9.3 and went straight from the 4.9.2 to the 4.9.4. No problems whatsoever!

I'm glad you mentioned this. The last update trashed my theme. I thought I would need a month of Sundays to manually fix my posts. Maybe this will?
You are welcome normally I don't read why the need for fixes but I wondered this time why the quick update was needed glad I read it. Hopefully, this will fix your issue.

Thanks for the info. The first update caused my Woocommerce USPS plugin to stop getting live rate updates. Annoying.

To remedy this Wordpress just release a fix with their update to 4.9.4 that fixes this issue.
If you have already installed the 4.9.3 version then you need to update with the new version 4.9.4 that fixed a bug which can cause a fail with Automatic backups with the previous version.
