Hey Amethyst...i am wondering if this blog has a purpose like earning money or is it just for fun?
If you have picked a niche that you love or are very interested then it should be easy to write about. Maybe not always but at least most of the time. Every piece of content I write has a purpose and that usually has a money aspect to it...
Try doing going to Ezine articles and doing a search for you main niche topic or of course Street Articles...
The best start time ever! The best thing is to just start writing about what you love to do or a dream vacation. When I did private duty nursing did journal writing about anything that popped in my head that I wanted to do after duty relief leaving several lines open for the next to do so I could write in what I did. Hope this helps. :)
hi caylynn--great idea just got a new cell samsung galaxy note 2 can do journal writing in that. in fact i love the phone some thinking about making it a niche.
Heya
I understand about trying to figure out what to blog about. And then I realized I can just blog about any random thing in my head. It doesn't have to be fancy and it doesn't have to sound smart. My blogs are random things...most have nothing to do with IM...and are just thoughts in my head. And I have all the old friends you got. But here, everyone's really nice and I've never gotten a negative comment on any blog I've written. So keep doing what you're doing, and you're good!
Good luck!
When I was in high school, I wanted to major in Journalism. Where I lived, there wasn't much opportunity for it. I used to write all the time, loved doing papers and reports in high school. When I went to college, I sort of listened to my parents and majored in business and finance. I worked in the banking industry for over 10 years and hated it. Now, many, many, many years later, I don't have the writing skills or the desire that I once had. So, I know where you're coming from. It's hard for me to find a topic, then hard to complete the article. So, I overthink everything, and it makes it hard for me to write. I do more deleting and backspacing than anything. LOL. Sometimes it helps me to just write an outline or even an article on paper. A pen and paper somehow seems a little less daunting than a blank computer screen. The best advice for me, and possibly you, is NEVER give up.
hi janrenee you just reminded of another old friend Mr.Overthink brother to self-doubt when you think about it. LOL. you are right we must NEVER give up..
I like that someone said, act like you are having a conversation with someone across the table about your niche, and think of questions that you would google. answer questions for all those out there about you niche.
God bless
Kymee
i was having a conversation with friend over coffee and started talking about our cell phones don't know why, but i went on about how i liked my samsung galaxy note 2 and all of its various features, and thought this could be a niche.
have a blessed day

Hi, I think we have all been there, and even experienced writers have the same problem. Have a look at the Blogs by BIS on this (also in SA) as she has some very good tips on these issues,
Hope this helps,
Hudson
Don't give up. Sometimes you have to find out the best way for you to write. For some, it's on the computer, for others it's with good old pen and paper, and for others it's to record their thoughts and then play them back and type. Proof reading and flow can be reviewed by others before you publish.
The biggest thing for me is to write naturally. Let it flow out as your thinking and proof later. It helps to have an outline: an introduction, 3 points, and then a conclusion. That is the essence of most writing. Best of luck.
thanks for the idea--i can record and journel on my cell phone. just cannot stop talking about my samsung--this has got to be a niche
Best of luck to you to
Hi! I am not a writer either. However, when I started at WA I wrote on stuff that I know about. I would suggest that you Blog on stuff or things that you know about. Hopefully, you can find an affiliate program to earn commissions when you blog on stuff that you know about. Remember, you are trying to provide information on how to help or get a resolution concerning the issue you are blogging about.
As you do this more and more, you will become more proficient at writing.
Keep it up! Don't give up! Everything takes patience.
It makes no difference that you are not a writer; look Writers are Born not Bread, however anyone with a parcel of common horse sense can be a writer. This was your first attempt, dont shoot yourself in the foot and try again tomorrow. It all gets better with practice.. You are doing well.
