Building sites using Wordpress and hosting them at wordpress.com are two entirely separate things.
Sites that are hosted at wordpress.com have a URL that looks like sitename.wordpress.com.
Sites that are written using wordpress and hosted here at WA have whatever domain name that you choose to purchase.
Hi Ahna, WA is your webhost, WP is your template platform.
I have a blogger blog & others do also. It's an easy to use start.
Jon
Thanks, Jon. I had a blogger blog, but I pulled all the content into a webpage, and now I'm working on monetizing. There's a network of women who blog about things of interest to women called BlogHer. They have some strict requirements to belong, so I was asking questions among friends before making a fool of myself. Thanks for helping!
You're Welcome Ahnna, I'm just glad I could help. I started one with Blogger for the experience, obviously I wouldn't qualify for BlogHer.
LOL. Jon
:-) No Jon. But I just found anther resource called Blog Ads. You might want to check that out if you're interested in that sort of an ad network. I'm finding myself a bit frustrated with the well beaten paths.

Those are very helpful explanations to a very helpful question. Why don't I think of these questions?

Have you changed anything in your header information, I did something with that one time and my title and pages flipped and were inconsistent with one another. So I found it and fixed it.

I want to import content from a google blogger account to my wp website. It keeps telling me it can't find my blog. Anyone know why? It is connected to my account. I can see it.
Hi,
You can import images that are saved in a folder on your computer into WP. I do it all the time. Be sure to save the image as a jpeg file.
Good luck.
Thank you. My spouse was able to do it for me. Pays to gripe loudly and walk away from the computer for awhile. :-) And, just FYI, we did import from blogger into WP. Three years worth of blogs. Fantastic.
I'm Glad, you're welcome. I posed the question, quickly scanned & thought I saw what would help.( I hoped you thanked your spouse properly. hehe) Jon
Ahnna, in white question box above ask -import content from blogger to WA. That hopefully will help you.
As far as I know, you can only import from Wordpress to Wordpress. Not from Google Blogger to Wordpress.
