Somebody must have installed an outgoing link on the background just under the bottom of my website page. How do I get rid of it? It is not part of the backgr

If you want to remove that link then you'll need to pay $47. Here is a link to the article I found: http://www.flexibilitytheme.com/buy-flexibility/

That's to purchase one without the link. They don't stay you can't just remove the link yourself ;)

Ok, the code you're looking for should have been between:

<!-- footer close -->
and
<!-- bgwrapper close -->

I don't see it in the code you copied/pasted here. Unfortunately, you may not be able to access it within WordPress editor. Sometimes web designers working with these such templates will make it impossible to remove imbedded code. I don't know if that's the case here, but seems to be. To get rid of it, you may have to changes themes. I know, what pain. :(

just a thought on changing themes: it's actutally quite easy. I have done it.

Hey there Edward, in your CSS editor look for p.footlinks line 10... you should find it somewhere in the small body of p.footlinks!

Ok, for some reason I can't get the complete link to copy/paste here: Just start with:

That should do it.

Yup, it's definitely something that came along with the theme... others have posted about it too... just can't find anyone that said how they fixed it yet! Still looking!

If you haven't already found the solution, here's my suggestion.

Apparently, the Flexibility Three theme you chose does work with some affiliates. I checked their site and they have info there concerning that. More than likely, Flexibility Three does affiliate work with Habitat for Humanity. I do believe you will be able to remove the link by entering your "text" editor for the page within WordPress and scroll down to the footer area. Look below:
<!-- footer close -->

The link is there, I saw it in the source code while looking at your site. I post it here so you'll recognize it:

Just take all of that out, update, and then check your page again. Remember to reload if it's already open. Hope it works for you. Best regards.

This is what I have in the editor area. Am I in the right place? If so where is the

<!-- footer close -->

<!-- wrap close -->

<?php wp_footer(); ?>
<!-- bgwrapper close -->
<?php if (get_option('flex_footer_script')) { echo stripslashes(get_option('flex_footer_script')); }?>
</body></html>

stonefox is correct. Go into the footer.php file and look for

and remove all that. Make sure you remove only that and noting else.

Yah Edward, I think Michelle is right on the money... it looks like it might have come with the theme. Right click on it and then click on 'Inspect Element' and that may give ya' a little more of a clue as to where to find it in your CSS.

It's very unlikely the habitat for humanity link was installed by anyone, it's pretty hard for them to get access to your website. It's more likely it was there as part of your theme when you got it.

If you want to remove it, you will have to go into the editor section and look at the css. files or the footer file.

Michelle12, I was looking in those sections and didn't notice any problems.

It's not a problem, it's code that has been added and will need to be removed.

are you talking about the powered by link?

No sir it's below the bottom border in the background image, below and outside the page border. It links to Habitat for Humanity.

Can you post a link so I can see what you are seeing, or a screenshot?

I added the link under the discussion, Shawn. Thanks.

When trying to verify email link I get an error msg telling me something wrong with link I clicked. Checked all info on my profile in G+ and website 3 times, any one with possi

Aarrrgh! I've been having internet problems for at least a week! finally I get back on and I tried to set up the Google + authorship thing. I got Error: At least one field must be set for Hcard.
Error: Missing required field "name (fn)
I am a complete newbie at coding...I think I am tired - I'll try tommy's training vid and see what happens...

Thanks everyone who responded, my authorship problem was resolved. Wayne's tip worked, I had confused them with too many email accounts. WA comes through again!

Try my training video it should help you.

Thanks Tommy, the video showed me a few tips I needed clarification on, I really enjoy the way WA takes care of its membership.

try removing all your emails from google+ page, make sure your login name for WP user is using the same email, put the verify code on home page and use All in one SEO to setup linkage with google pluse and it should work

Thanks for the help, I deleted the old G+ info, and placed a new one under the same email as I use in WP user. Waiting on email verification form G+, will let you know if it is working later.

Good job, Wayne!

I had similar issues until I added my Google + profile URL and added to the All-In-One SEO settings for Google+

Thanks for the help, but it has been tried a few times with no good result, am currently trying another suggestion. Thanks for the suggestion.
