You Have to Get Out you April Fool.
April 1st is My Favorite Day.
It was time I pranked my step children, they have been let off from my wicked sense of humour for too long. Both my step children are over 18 years old and we have been to get her for 15 years and I love them very much.
But it is time they were subjected to my wicked sense of humor. I am just about ( yes doing it right now) to inform them that I love them very much but we (Nga and I) have decided that now they are 18 they need to leave home.
I am going to tell them I have found somewhere for them to stay and have paid 1 month, and I will hand them a card. Inside the card it will say β April Foolβ; The hardest part will be me not trying to laugh.
This is my reward for hiring a writer, and having a clear focus on what I am doing and where I am going. Work hard and remember to play hard too. Lol.
Thanks
Zoopie

I must confess this is one of the days I dislike most in the year. I wake up and make it through my day doubting the sincerity of everyone I come across. I've never done a prank to celebrate this day.
There should be some kind of opt out for those of us not interested. I do worry though one day something catastrophic will actually happen on this day and I'll disbelieve whomever has the hard chore of breaking the news to me.
Let us know if it backfires and they high five one another at their luck (knowing what today is) and say they had been meaning to talk to you about their impending move out but didn't know how to break the ice. :)
Ending this on a positive note however since you and yours seem to enjoy this.
I applaud your closeness to your step children.
I have two who were fortunate enough to be of a majority age when I split with their mother, and to her horror we kept in touch. I wasn't their dad, but as the oldest said, I was much more than just some guy her mom was with.
The bonds formed can be just as strong as though they are our own, and have known many men unfortunate enough to lose that due to the children being underage when the split came with the mother.
15 years is a lot of memories, and it's heartwarming to read your opening declaration of loving them very much.
Regards,
Jason
Wow! Stephen, interesting. I'm sure it will result in much laughter once they get over the Shock of your Prank. π΅π΅π₯³π₯³
Hey, Stephen
My father loved to play very elaborate pranks on unsuspecting victims on April fools day.
He would begin with us, when we were children. If we figured out his prank he would pout for at least an hour, so we never let on that we knew. π
Let us know how your prank turns out. π
