Semrush
SEMrush has a free toolbar option (They charge quite a bit for the professional package) that I have tried out. I have learned quite a bit from it, and it has helped me analyze my own website as well as the sites of some competitors. If it’s free, I figured it was worth trying out! Since I like what I learned, I wanted to pass this on to my friends at WA.
What does it do?
1)I can run an analysis of my own website for missing or incorrect SEO elements
2)I can do backlink analysis of my own sites and and competitor sites
3)It has the Alexa rank data
4)Keyword Density Analysis
5)Google Page Rank
6)Social Media Log
7)SEOQuake, an SEO app
8)More
Here is what the bar looks like in Google Chrome.
It is just a little bar beneath the search bar with all the little goodies I just mentioned above. If you like it, just do a search for SEMrush free and sign up. I think it is worthwhile.

I signed up for it, but haven't found the "free" area. Where is that? I think all of the options on it are very valuable.
Hi Kary! Thanks for keeping me honest. I confess that I loaded this toolbar to my Google Chrome browser a while ago and so I'm a little foggy on how I got there. WA apparently won't allow the url I tried to paste to this comment, so just do a search for "semrush free toolbar chrome"

I can see from the Google Chrome Webstore that it has great reviews. Let me know how it goes.
Sounds good, have to be honest and say I always fret about adding stuff I do not know much about but I am working it out as I go thanks for sharing
not better but IMO just as good with no attempts to upsell:
SEOQUAKE for Chrome/Firefox..even looks the same!
The "diagnosis" element is great for a heads up on header tags, and other hygiene factors
