Apologies
Yesterday I fell victim to passing on a warning about a HOAX VIRUS which turned out to be a HOAX. I am sorry for panicking and causing undue stress to WA members.
Since I have been on the internet I have been learning that you can't trust alot of what is out there. My good friend sent me the message through messenger and I believed that it was true, until my son pointed out that it wasn't.
I wish to apologise sincerely to all that have been affected by my stupidity.
Kind regards.
Yvonne

No apology necessary. No forgiveness needed. You were trying to warn us about something you thought was real. You had our best interests at heart. God bless you. Jeannie
You were doing what I hope everyone of us would do..trying to warn people about a possible threat. It's hard to know what's real and what isn't so I am glad you brought it to our attention, hoax or not. Thank you again Yvonne!
Please check the training that William refers to, actually it does quite a bit harm...I know people don't mean to, but forwarding hoax is bad.

What I meant was, you personally did what you think was the right thing to do given the information you had, so no matter the outcome, you have done what is right.
Thanks Yvonne .. these things are reasonably easy to identity. There is a great training just put up by Mira: How To Detect If A Virus or Scam Warning is a hoax? Suggested first step .. just Google it, that will give you 99% of the hoaxes immediately.
Cheers, William.

Yvonne, it is okay. You are not the first and you will not be the last. It is better to sound the alarm and find out later that it was real.
Actually it's not. Please read here: How To Detect If A Virus or Scam Warning is a hoax?
Point taken.
