Hi Hailey,
I have no experience of Yoast personally but I have read some articles on here to say that some people ignore the part about 'stop' words.
Google will absolutely recognise parts of a phrase, but these will be harder to rank for as they will have higher competition. This is why the longtail keywords are views as 'low hanging fruit' and thergorbeasier to rank for. A mix of both is great though. The key things to remember are that your chosen keyword phrase makes sense, has some traffic and has low completion. This will give you the best chance of the highest rank in Google.

Thanks for the help Em what does this mean "thergorbeasier"? What are webmaster tools? Which ones do you use? Is it better to use short term keywords?

Sorry! Typos... 'they are easier'
Google webmaster tools, it is covered in the certification course (course 4 off the top of my head) - it will show you which keywords your site is ranking for.
3 - 4 words are ideal, don't over complicate it for yourself. If you go back and watch the module on keyword research and follow its principles then you can't go far wrong :)
Oh so long tail key words are more for niches? I was thinking they were better to use because they are more targeted.

Actually I would rather use Google because it is so much more advanced. I am sure if you use Google tools you will find what your looking for to your success hope this helps

If you are then sharing your new posts on social media then this is another way to gain traffic via another audience.

I'm currently creating content 2 articles a week and my friend is managing social media she's really good at it. I would like to help in the social media stream I just find it overwhelming. Is there a stream you think I should learn and focus on? what is your routine?
Post useful content regularly and schedule follow to the goal.
Notify to social by post it on social media or network.

These are for WA banners but the principle is the same for all banner ads Wealthy Affiliate Banner in Post or Page Wealthy Affiliate Banner in Sidebar Widget
Also, I was wondering how do you manage all of your affiliate programs I'm finding it a bit overwhelming.
