Scams....well
This week has been something else. Yesterday Thursday Feb 6, I called my mom at her house and there was no answer. So I called her cell phone. Little background here my mom does not drive. So I get her on her cell phone and I say mom where are you at and she tells me at the bank.
Me: How did you get to the bank.
Mom: In a cab
Me: What are you doing at the bank
Mom: Getting money
Me: Why
Mom: Because
Well, for about 2 weeks this guy has been calling my mom and telling her that if she would send them $450 that they will send her $5Million in return. So back to the story I knew what she was up to.
Me: Mom let me talk to the cab driver.
Cab Driver: Hello
Me: Who called you to come get my Mom
Cab Driver: Her son and he told me to take her to the bank and then to wal-mart to Western Union, so that she could send money.
Me: you take her to wal-mart and do not let her get out of the cab and you don't get out of the cab either until I get there
Cab Drive: OK
I live about 20 minutes from that wal-mart so I get into my car and haul butt over there made it in 10 minutes and the cab driver told me that the guy on the phone knew where her house was and what kind of car she had in her drive way, and he told the cab driver not to listen to her because she is not in her right mind and that he was her son and she needed to send him $450. So I got her before she could send the money.
I cab ride cost her $200, that was expensive ride but could have been much worse had I not called her.
Well, after that I took her to the hospital and you know she wasn't in her right mind she has a serve UTI and the DR told us that could cause her not to think right well it did. Now the real kicker is that while we were waiting in the ER she had a minnie stroke.
Spent all day at the hospital and she is getting better. So for those of you that pray please do so for my mom.
Scammers are out there and they are making a ton of cash. If I would have not called my mom she would be out about $650.

Yes, I called in the town where the wal-mart was and they said we have to call in the county that the phone call originated so we called and will meet with them when mom gets out of hospital.
