I have two plugins activated by how do we get them onto a new page for people to click on and enter info that stays...lol; I need a feedback page, testimonial page and a contact
Go to the page on the http://Wordpress.org site about the plugin and it will tell you how to implement it. For some forms etc you need to add a shortcode to the page in order to see it.
For example: https://wordpress.org/plugins/ninja-forms/installation/ - you'll see it tells you how to install the plugin and also how to get it to show up on your page.
Hey Ian...amen...and that is what I was looking for and the folks got me to finding the Contact Form 7 in the left hand column...edited it and pasted into my page. Now that is good for contact, but now I'm attempting to figure out how to have say a Book Feedback page where the info stays on the page for people to see; as you can tell, I'm losing my hair trying to figure that one out, lol
To be honest I wouldn't bother with that yet. People rarely leave reviews on sites other than the one where they have bought the book - eg Amazon, and even there it's only a small proportion of buyers who ever leave feedback. So you'd need a large number of visitors to the site before you got a few genuine, worthwhile reviews.
A review or feedback page with no comments never looks good - looks like an unfinished page or unpopular site.
Great advice, Ian, thank you so much. I genuinely mean that, yet, I excited that I don't have to find that form and do more behind the scenes work that I just drudge doing, lol. Have you been told today, lol...well here goes...YOU'RE A GOOD MAN lol ... Thanks again!
Go into your plug in section and click on the ones you are having an issue with. Click "details" and make sure you have filled in all of the information needed. Some do not require any additional action but, I just had one that was not loading. I discovered I had to fill in a few of the blanks and the it worked perfectly well.
Ya I can find them just can't get them onto a page...and will try the detail route again...thank you so much :)
Got it, and thank you. It was a matter of having to find it, already installed in left side column, opening, editing, and then pasting code into the contact page. Thank you my dear proud MarineMom, for that input. PS...For all it's worth my friend, and even though I am Canadian, I was part of the US Presidential Prayer Team and in 2003 we were all asked to pray for one military man out in the field, and mine was a Marine by the name of Troy M. Caraccioli and his spouses name was Marie; I have it right here now in front of me...I was privileged to be able to lift that young man up to God in prayer. Be really cool if I were to ever meet him...trusting all went well for him. Thanks again...sorry for ranting, lol, but that is me at times...OK most of the time :) :) :)
You may need to go into "Appearances" in your dashboard and drag the newly activated plugin over into the sidebar menu.
Need to place a plugin onto an actual page, so when someone clicks on my page it opens for them to add a testimony, book review, contact me etc...I can drag widgets into sidebar but this must not end up in sidebar but on page half way of that journey, lol, lol...thank you guys...:)
Well, this is kind of like the salesman in the office doing his own mail sorting, filing, etc,, etc., instead of doing what he/she is good at; like selling, lol...and in my case, this behind the scenes can scare the hairs right out of his head, if you know what I mean, when I love to write and do my thing. I'm good now, lol
1/ I installed Contact Form 7
2/ I then found it in the left hand column under DASHBOARD
3/ Opened it up...edited it and pasted a code directly into the page needed...and CONTACT in this case...so I think it works...hey...just had a thought WHY DON'T YOUR TRY IT FOR ME, lol... http://www.whyshouldibelievejesus.com and click on CONTACT pretending you have an important message for me...:) :)
And that's it...
However, this kind of form is no good for say a Testimonial Page that remains for people to see, right...so I'm not sure what to do with that one yet....but that will come together I'm sure; besides, I have no more hair to lose :)
I don't really understand your question. Once you install a plugin, then you activate it and it should work! Sometimes you have to go to screen options (top right on your edit page) and tick a box so that the options for that plugin can be displayed. Many social plugins are like that.
I hope this helps. Glyn.
You have it...I need to get them working...and I can find them or widgets easily and understand dragging widgets, but getting plugins onto a page I am having trouble...but will review what you just said as well...thank you Glyn :)
iv run into issues similar to this. im not sure what plugins youre using, but in my experience, they may be found in the widgets page to add in. they could also be found when you go to edit the page perhaps in some sort of features or functions menu. and some plugins can be added to a specific page after going through the plugins' settings and setting it up prior to placing it on a page. I hope i can at least put some more options out there for ya :)

Looks like you have already gotten great advice. Good luck
