Social Media Platforms User Numbers Summary.

I am posting this to tie together the Posts I am doing on Social Media User Numbers in each country by the Major Platforms.

Each time I do a Post I will add the link here so if you are bookmarking then this is the Post to bookmark.

About the Numbers: The numbers are useful themselves but are more useful if viewed in conjunction with other data. The foundation additional data is Country Population so I have also included that as a separate Post.

There are a lot of Social Media Platforms numbers found around the internet and they can be wildly different. The numbers depend on the method used to compile them. While these ones are from an industry source (see each Post), I am personally treating them as a "guideline" (As in "And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules." .. Capt Barbossa, Pirates of the Caribbean.)

Of course there are a lot of other things to consider from a marketing point of view (like language, income, specific niche, advertising costs etc) but that is beyond the scope of this.

China: And a special note about China. According to Wikipedia, most of the Western Social Media is blocked in China (excluding Hong Kong and Macau). There is a "disclaimer," of sorts, on the Wikipedia Page that says "Note that many of the sites listed may be occasionally or even regularly available, depending on the access location or current events."
