With many of our Premium Plus members going through Kyle's new PPC Challenge course I wanted to share the total of my results over the last 30 days with my main traffic source Microsoft Pay Per Click Ads.

I have been using MS ads for around 5 years so I have some experience. I am not an expert but I have learned how to get my CPA down around $2.00 per conversion "referral" which in my opinion is one of the most important stats.

The other being ROI "return on investment". The reason I am not able to show this is because MS tracking for Premium upgrades does not want to work right. I get it working for awhile then it stops so I focus on CPA now until they get this fixed.

For anyone just starting PPC these are the kind of numbers that over time once you start getting the snowball effect"more & more referral monthly and yearly renewals" will get you out of the red and into profits.

The thing of it is you are going to have to be able to afford making it through this process. At least that is how it was for me. With Kyle's new training this process may not be as painful as it was for me over 5 years ago when I started my first campaign.

The great thing about this for me is now I hardly do anything but look at my stats and tweak some keywords, ad groups, and create a new ad group every now and then but for the most part I do very little work at all. I am pretty much on auto-pilot at this point.

I hope these numbers can help all of you doing PPC get an idea of how low you can get your CPA over time.

Hi Kirk,

I am following Kyle's training and have my Google Ads almost set up but ran into a glitch I need to fix before I go any further...

The fact that you've got things pretty much running on auto-pilot now is really encouraging. Being able to mostly monitor your stats, adjust a few things here and there, and create a new ad group occasionally, all without too much work, sounds like a fantastic place to be, and that is where I want to get!!!

Your experience is a valuable guide for those of us venturing into PPC, showing us how to progressively lower our CPA.

Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your journey!

Denis

Wow Thanks, Denis. I appreciate the kind words. I would look for Vitaly's most recent training on setting up an MS ads account and campaigns. I do not know what the avg CPC difference is between the two networks but my guess is MS is cheaper.

Getting through the early stages when you may be spending $20 per day looking for that first upgrade for a $20 to $40 commission can be tough. You have to be determined and know in your head this will all come back to you in the end.

What can really help here is making a couple of yearly sales in the early stages. Even though upgrade percentages have been lower than ever before from my side of things" without the $19 promo offer" the earnings are better than ever with the addition of PP and the yearly upgrade percentage being higher than it has ever been for me.

And that is how I see it, lol

Yeah!!! I need to.re-invest some of that PayPal money😎

I know I mentioned looking for one of Vitaly's latest classes that shows the process of setting up an account and getting rolling with MS but Kyle's last class shows this as well. That had slipped my mind for some reason.

Kirk, thank you for the inspiring post. It is encouraging me a lot. I am a total newbie to Bing ads (MS ads). I am so scared of doing it. I have a PPC site as trained by Kyle and Vitaliy. Now I finally got the location working. The next step is to create the ad. They had a ad group on the right that uses keywords that show from high, medium, and low. I ignore those. Set it at a budget low for now. Im not sure how this is going to pan out. Do you use a lead capture page for your ads? Or direct to them staight to WA? Thats what I am struggling with have email capture page with the ad sales funnel. I created two different ads. Both will not run same time, only one at a time. Still working on setting it up. Just scared Im going to screw up. Your numbers look 👍🏻 but you’ve been doing it for years. Thanks for the support!

At this point, I would not worry about collecting emails or sales funnels. Stick to what Kyle is teaching and do not get ahead of his training.

Kyle has mentioned in his class that for some ad groups, it is fine to send them straight from your ad to your WA affiliate link. I know this is allowed in MS but from what I remember it was not allowed to do on Google ads but they may have changed now I really don't know.

I would start by sending them to blog posts that you create on your PPC site for a specific ad group until Kyle gets into more details on which type of keywords will convert sending potential referrals straight to your WA affiliate link.

If you want to really be careful about how much you spend then start your bids out really low and see if you are getting impressions and clicks. Start at 16 cents and if you aren't getting any action try 21 cents then 26 etc.

You do not have to try and keep up with others who might have more of a budget than you do. Try setting the daily budget as low as 5 dollars a day at first and see if you start to get some clicks.

If you go 4 or 5 days and have spent all you want for the week just pause the ad groups for a few days and start them again when you are ready.

Hope this gives you some comfort. Remember you have control of ad spend.

Kirk, thats very wise. Thanks for helping me make a better decision. I got it. Just watched he replay with Kyle’s MS ad he was just using a blog post so thats where to start awesome. Now I feel a bit better about this! Thanks you are a 💎!

Yep, still stands, no direct linking when using Google Adwords.

Most affiliates use a "bridge page", but Google is becoming wary of these nowadays and much prefers a proper landing page.

A "bridge page" literally had very little information on it, often just an email sign up box, and perhaps an image showing a "free ebook", as soon as the person enters their email address they're on your list, but are then redirected straight to the affiliate offer.

However, as I say, Google has been taking notice of these types of "bridge pages" for a few years now, and would much prefer a "landing page".

Basically, the page that a visitor lands on once they click on your Google Ad should provide VALUE to the reader, so therefore it should be far more in-depth than a bridge page (email sign up box and literally nothing else).

Essentially, a WA landing page could be a "mini-review":

Email sign up box (which will send "Free Gift" to email address and once they've added their email address they will be automatically redirected to your affiliate link).

Simply put, wherever you are sending visitors via Google Adwords, it cannot be an affiliate link, but rather the page they land on must provide VALUE.

PP,

Thanks for the humble conversation. I am forever obliged by what you say. I am bluntly telling you. I am not using Google ads right now. This is for MS Bing ads.

I already got it! A landing page is what it is you say is a “mini blog post “ just as Kyle showed for PPLUS- besides you ain't a Plus member yet. I wish you were you could teach us a lot but I know you are way too humble.

You still teach us with your WA blog post. I guess that will have to do for now.

I am fully aware of what Google wants, it would be the same for Bing so no worries. I'm on it.

Thanks for your humble conversation! Well done - the only thing I won't do is offer freebies. I’ve learned from experience they want the freebie then unsubscribe shortly after so that's old trick that isn't working today. Landing page mini blog post simples you say!

Awesome Partha thanks for clearing this up for us.

Thank you, Brenda

Kirk, I am working on my PPC site after lunch. I thank you again for your help!

I'm doing Google ads direct to WA. So it must be OK now 👍😊

How long have you had the ads running? I hope this is the case that is ok now. Losing an account is no fun.

The WA homepage does have a great deal of information so this could possibly be why they are allowing it. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Mike.

Hi Brenda. I'm pretty sure Vitaliy said in a very recent class, he doesn't uses email strategies rarely, if at all. I'm with you, though, freaking out.

Hi Kirk,

These are great numbers, thank you for sharing.

I've read a lot that Microsoft is better for ads, and obviously you must fall into that camp.

I appreciate your sharing this, as at some point I will likely do some ads and have been hopeful others will share their experience with it. Edwin has been great so far in sharing his travels down this road so far as he follows along on Kyles classes.

Regards,

Jason

I would probably be using Google PPC too but I lost my account years ago and never was able to get it back.

Hello Kirk,

This is exactly what I want to achieve. To create a PPC system that almost runs itself. Hearing successes like yours is very encouraging indeed.

I feel we are extremely fortunate to have individuals like Kyle and Vitaliy holding our hands as we go through the learning process until we get it right.

Do you use Google Ads at all? If so what kind of results have you got with that?

Thanks for sharing.

Edwin

I lost my account with them years ago so I just use MS ads now.

Thanks, Kirk.

Looks like you're doing pretty well with MS. I am following Kyle's class. Since he began with Google Ads that is what I created. He had a MS class recently but I am delaying that until I get results with Google. Kyle is personally working with me on this so I feel the probability of making Google Ads work is good.

Cheers.

Edwin

My guess is with Google having so much more of the share in search that you can get results quicker with not having to create as many ad groups.

When it comes to competition and the CPC avg MS might be better in both of these. Less competition and lower CPC.

Seems like this PPC stuff can be pretty awesome once you start to "Get Into The Groove" if you know what I mean.

Idiot!!! Hahahaha!!

For sure! You just have to get up on your feet and dance to the beat of that PPC!

I wouldn't be messing with the Queen, Prince

lol, thats how I do it

The only way to do it

Hahahahaha!!!

I swear, I'm gonna round up all your fake celebrity profiles and... oh yeah, "No Messing With the Queen!!"

Hahahahhhaha!!

I only have one and it was made to test If my link was tracking and to see exactly what the process is for my new referrals when creating an account.

MS must be Crazy for You!

I think I may be more crazy about them.

Truth? I kicked Google to the curb. I only use MS Ads.

You can get all the clicks you need with MS once you get enough hooks in the water with the right bait. I would start pumping out them AI articles for your PPC site and making the relevant ad groups for them.

I know Kyle's training at this point is suggesting using broad match keywords but I rarely use broad match and when I do I watch them like a hawk to make sure they are not wasting clicks on nonrelevant search terms.

Copy that. I followed Vitaly's guide. I have 30 referrals but blew a bunch of money doing it - my fault. One upgrade. I'm back on track now, and will get going on those ppc posts.

It wasn't long ago that when you set your keywords to phrase match your ads would not be triggered unless your keyword phrase was actually used in the search.
Now when I go to look at the search terms used that triggered my ads I see some that do not even have my phrase match keyword in them.

Yeah. I'm careful to do what I want to do now instead of listening to any MS recommended enhancements.

I may start changing some of my phrase match keywords to exact match just to kind of see what kind of numbers I can get. I would only do this with ones that are getting plenty of impressions with the phrase match.

I'll keep that in mind. I'm getting pretty good at navigating Ads, but not great yet. I have to do a lot of pausing and enabling to get where I want to go.
