Raquel was stretching after a fierce aerobics class. Felicity tried to mimic her super fit friend but her aching limbs and shortness of breath were getting her down.
“How do you do it, I do envy you Raquel.”
Raquel’s answer surprised Felicity. “You should do more exercise. Join me every day for a class. I have texted you and reminded you.”
Felicity began to justify her absence from the classes:
“I woke up feeling aching and too tired. I can’t seem to sleep at night. I just lay and worry about how I will feel in the morning. I wake up and just want to go back to bed again. I can’t do what you do.”
Raquel suggested they have a shower and lunch and talk it over.
Felicity agreed and added:
“It will not make any difference. I am just built that way. I can’t stick at anything. I do want to but something always seems to stop me.”
Over lunch Raquel had an idea:
“How about you just join me for 1 class tomorrow?”
She added:
“Tonight, when you go to bed, image yourself leaping out of bed full of energy and enjoying just the one class in the morning?”
“I’ll try.” Said Felicity.
“Don’t try,” said Raquel, “Just do it. See you tomorrow morning.”
