How to Insert Affiliate Links in a YouTube Video's Description And Pinned Comment
Both the description of your YouTube video and the pinned comment are excellent places to insert affiliate links and in this tutorial I'll show you how to set that up very easily. I strongly recommend you utilize both these spaces to share your links whenever you upload any YouTube video!

Thanks. I am putting affiliate links in the description, but at this point, I have not figured out how to get a small picture of what the link represents. This is a helpful post.

If you're putting them into a YouTube video, there's no need for the image, just the text link is enough.
That makes sense., But I have seen other folks that put little pictures with the link below the YouTube video. I haven’t figured out how to do it as I said.

What if, hypothetically, you are
1) new to YouTube,
2) you don't have your own YouTube video, and
3) you'd like to comment on someone else's YouTube video.
Does YouTube allow users such as myself to post a comment one someone else's video, and place an affiliate link in that comment in the comment section below the video?

Let's make it simple. Anyone should be able to use their affiliate link in comments for someone's video with proper explanation. I don't believe in cloaking it either. YouTube isn't going to punish you for trying to make money, but the owner of the video may not be too happy.
I don't know if it does but that wouldn't work either. If someone tries that on my YouTube videos, I'm immediately deleting the comment and banning the person. It's just bad practice.
