Supermoon
This Monday we will see the biggest moon for 70 years.
MOSCOW, 12 Nov — RIA Novosti. The inhabitants of the Earth will soon be able to observe an unusual phenomenon — the supermoon, which will be the most prominent for the last 70 years, according to NASA.
According to the Agency, on 14 November, the Moon will approach the Earth at the shortest distance since 1948. The next time such a bright supermoon will be visible only in 2034.
"The difference in distance (between the moon and the Earth — ed.) on Sunday night and Monday will be slight, so if Sunday is cloudy, go out and see on Monday," reports the NASA Scientist Noah Petro.
Due to the supermoon phenomenon the satellite appears 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual.
An important event,
A date of the century-
The moon and the earth get nearer.
Astronomers wait ,
Telescopes ready.
They won’t have any privacy.
Astronomers know
The details of event-
When it will happen,
What outfit’s ready.
The moon’ll be in red
For two whole days.
She wants to impress
The earth and the sun,
Enter history.
Next event of the kind
Will only take place
In 30 years or so.
But we will observe
The coquette moon,
Her graceful curve
In the same sky,
You and I,
And it brings us nearer.

Looks and sounds amazing, I will sleep with one eye open :)
Then I'll report back.
Thanks for the share, Vera.
Cheers, Tosh :)
Thank you..But that will not do, Tosh. Go to the hill with the two eyes open and take some shots and then report back...:)
