Hi Folks,

As the title conveys Wealthy Affiliate is about learning and earning, being something millions of people are greatly interested in. And, I'm able to agree with that because of experiencing almost 3 years Premium membership at WA.

However, this last month has not been one of my best. So, how could that happen?! I don’t have an answer, other than several distractions and some winter weather ills and chills.

Am I going to let this get in the way and interfere with success?

No, definitely not. I prefer to acknowledge recent failures and move on looking forward to new achievements.

I feel I’ve let Kyle down with the Super Affiliate Challenge. But, I console myself with the fact that Kyle understands life’s issues, and looks only toward helping members achieve. I will catch up on all the wonderful training he provides for us at Wealthy Affiliate.

I've recently been thinking of the amazing motivational speaker and business philosopher Jim Rohn, who gave to the world extremely valuable encouragement. One of his quotations is:

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”

I recognize that a lack of discipline on planning has been a major part of my recent failure. So can I turn that around? Yes, I surely can! I’ll leave no space for excuses.

I feel sure I’m not alone with my lingering month. So, thought this could be of help to any member who may be experiencing a similar path at present.

Keep smiling. Keep focused and be grateful for all the amazing training and support provided to WA members, by Kyle and Carson. And, also acknowledging Jay for his amazing deliverance of weekly webinars. I have learned so much from these webinars, and will continue to do so.

In closing this post, for those asking the question:

Does the Wealthy Affiliate program work?

The Wealthy Affiliate program most definitely does work when we discipline ourselves to following the amazingly valuable resources available to WA members.

Enjoy your weekend.

Good afternoon Valerie,

Nice to see you again.
So many things can get in the way, sometimes they are important and sometimes we just prefer to do them instead of working on our websites.
Oh, well, one should neither become obsessed with it all, there is a time for everything.
I had some not so good weeks myself, did not write, neither did I comment etc.
Hope your health has improved again.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Taetske, thank you so much for your comment.

I have been so remiss in not contacting you. A few weeks back I briefly saw an email you sent me about your time with Loes. I had to pass over the email at the time and did not get back to you. However, I will do so very soon. Or, I'll find the post you referred to in your profile page and leave a message.

Many thanks for everything.

Take care - Valerie

Good Morning Valerie,

Do not worry, things can get in the way, it happens to all of us so no problem.
I will send you the links on a PM.
Have a great weekend.

Greetings from the south of Spain, Taetske

Thank you for your kind message, Taetske.

Valerie, thank you for sharing this post. It mean so much to read about other people experience and success! LouisaB~

Thank you so much Louisa. Lovely to be in touch with you again. I hope all is going well with you.
Will catch up again soon!

Valerie you're very welcome. Lately, I have been in and out, and round about. Still busy As a bee.
I'm very happy that you are moving along as usual. See you again soon.
Best Regards,

Louisa B

Thank you Louisa.
Take care :)

Valerie

The summer seems to take away more energy from you. And at the end of the day I feel so drained, and in reality, I haven't done that much.

My quest is to get ahead before the summer is over, and be ready for what seems to be one of the best period for online marketing, (Sept to Nov). Thanks for this post.

Thank you David. I appreciate your comment and what you say about summer taking away energy. As the years have moved on I've found both hot and cold temperatures are not tolerated well by me. That's life, I dare say.

Wishing you well for those two special months, not far away now.

Thanks for the reminder.
Jerry

My pleasure Jerry. Thanks so much for your comment.

A very honest post, you too have a great weekend.

Thank you very much Stuart.

Hi Valerie, nothing is ever lost in this online journey, sometimes we can all have those slow down periods. I think you nailed it when you say I don't know why. I guess the key is not to lose the focus of our why.
Spring is on the way, that time of renewal.

Thanks so much Alex for your comment. I had to find a way to rejuvenate my participation in WA community. I feel it's a good start just being in contact again. I find the update to the WA platform absolutely identifies the energy circulating every moment, day and night, and I was feeling lost at the bottom of the pool. There is only remedy to that, which of course is - it's up to me to make it happen!

I think that the update to the platform took many by surprise even though it was signalled, just a matter of jumping back in, it may look like a new swimming pool, it is the same just renovated.
Once we get our heads around it, it is plane sailing. Best wishes.

Absolutely true, Alex.
Here's to a new week!
And as you said earlier - Spring is on the way. So looking forward to it :)

Maybe it's the colder weather, Valerie. I've been procrastinating instead of disciplining myself.

I reckon it is the weather, Marion. This winter so far has been the coldest since 2016 when I moved from Auckland to the northern part of the Wellington region. The 2016 winter was mild, but this one is a different story.

That jolly old procrastination is a sure hindrance. So, let's see how much we can change it, and get ready for a great Spring season :)

Good to hear from you. Thanks so much.

Thank you for those inspiring words.

You're very welcome, Robert.

Push on through Val, you've got this. I'll tell you something, it's not easy trying to find that self-discipline to sit down and work on your business; I fought with that so many times but I remember an adage that I was told a short time ago and it went something like this, "Be the change you want".

I applied this to looking for another job when I was on the brink of leaving the one I'm at currently and you wouldn't believe how many offers I got; my phone didn't stop ringing. My secret, I went to EVERY staffing agency in town and the next two over.

Extraordinary things happen when you're the change you want and you let nothing stop you.

Our mind is a very powerful tool, Rodney. And, your experience with that adage certainly proves it.

We do have the power to change our lives through managing our thoughts. Again, discipline comes into that equation.

I'm delighted to read of your experience when looking for another job.

Thanks so much for sharing. I will definitely focus on 'being the change I want'.

We all have our troughs Valerie, as you say no need to beat yourself up about it, your site is not going anywhere and sounds like your back to work anyway :)

I'm getting there, Heidi.
