Putting An End To Loose Ends
Good afternoon you WAyfaring WArriors, how fare you all on this tumbleweed strewn afternoon ? The perfect day for putting an end to loose ends, in preparation for the week ahead.
I don't ever want to wish the days away, but I always get excited on Sunday, knowing that a new week is about to start.(Even if some class Sunday as the start of the week ? What's all that about)
There was a slight pause, not that you'd know, I was trying to stop the question mark jumping down onto the next line. I wouldn't mind but I know when it gets published, it will be in a different point on the line anyway.
I feel as though I have the 'Sword of Damocles' hanging above my head. One of my sons has just graced us with his presence after an extended lie. After pleasantries, he went into 'Do you know so-and-so ?' mode.
This is when your offspring happens to know (by some fluke) some of your friends from years gone by. It's not like I have a checkered past or anything, it's more that, as we have already mentioned, the past is best used as a reference book and not for bringing into the present.
It would seem that some of my 'older' friends have very good memories and can relay past events as if they were yesterday. Oh well, let's hope the sword stays where it is for now.
Rather than me regurgitating the story behind the 'sword', you can read it here, courtesy of Wikipedia.
Talking of the past, today is my good lady and mine's 23rd wedding anniversary. Proof that some 'work relationships' can stand the test of time, as that's where we met. Though it has nothing to do with the fact that she got fired about a month after we started seeing each other.
Good times indeed and another 'myth-busted' coming up. We actually enjoy working together. I know it's not for every one but I've never been one to fit nicely into the 'stereo-types' that get jumped on. There is a certain synergy, that must only come after years of working together, as we have done.
Anyway, just thought I'd share that with you.
I finished off the last few ideas on creating a 'following' in yesterday's post A Game Of Two Halves (Part Two ?) but, as I intimated at the time, there were more notes of the twenty-minute video. Actually, I've just looked up the average spoken 'word count' and a twenty-minute speech converts to approximately 2600 words. That's enough for a decent sized article, just saying.
The next part was more to do with being an 'entrepreneur', though I don't think it was intended as a blueprint. There were, however, a few nice pointers that I thought worthy of noting down. Focus on specialised knowledge, self education and mentors.
That's not a bad little lot to get stuck into. I might see if I can cobble something together for the rest of the notes as well.
For now, I have a webinar to attend, probably one of those 'never to be replayed' ones. Still, if we get something good from it, then hopefully it will be worth the hour spent watching.
Here's hoping you're having a sublime Sunday. Stay safe, healthy and happy.
Twack Romero.

Damn that Damocles guy. At least he doesn't frequent my life as often as that Murphy dude, but then, Murphy doesn't have a sword. Happy whatever Twack.
Greg
Thank you Greg. We also have 'Sod' over here, as well as Murphy. I haven't looked either of those up. I liked the 'sword' one and the story that goes with it really brings the point home.
Happy Anniversary to you both Twack.
I thought the story was about something you got up to, not the sword of Damocles. I did wonder what you had got up to that put you in Wikipedia. Lol.
Sunday can't be the start of the week it's supposed to be a day of relaxation. Not that relaxing ever happened in our house.
Thank you so much Linda. I'm not sure where I was going with this one, by the time I realised it was a bit fragmented, I was already fully invested. Hey ho. I only used Wiki as I wanted to refresh my memory on the story, which was worth it.
I can't help using Sunday as a springboard for the coming week. It would seem we have a parallel with 'relaxing'
I was very impressed to think you made it into Wiki with your exploits, made me laugh to see what it was.
It was a good post.
I relax at my desk, lost in my 'work'.
And now its nearly Magical Monday filled with adventures and possibilities.
I even have 'high excitement' a chat bot to gather email addresses. It was tailored to me and free because Dave https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/dkohara
wanted to test it out. He was asking for volunteers and I jumped in quick.
Thank you again. Yes, it is 'Magical', I have started the day with finally getting round to putting some listings on EBay, if I don't so them before everything else, I never get round to it.
I've had a few 'Bot' software packages sent my way but as yet, haven't taken any of the offers up. I'd be interested to see how it goes for you.
Well done on the listings.
The bot looks good. Will just have to see if it works or whether its better to have pop ups.
I'm never sure why I drag my feet on doing the listings but I do. Still, done now.
The outcome will be interesting, no doubt. Either or, if it builds your list.
Congratulations on the Anniversary must mark this afternoons episode as pleasant as it was as if only I'd known!! ;
The past is most definitely left in the past trust the offspring did not get any incriminating evidence good enough to stick on you....ha ha
Must congratulate you on yesterdays tieing up of loose ends in presenting the other three until then missing items from the five introduced.....
With the notes already for the next one and a webinar done and dusted surely, it's a feet free of clutter week to look forward to!!
That is not to be sniffed at considering that we both know only the good lord knows what it brings with it....lols ;
Have a good time with the better half you both deserve it!!
R.
Thank you Rami, as always you are very kind. It will be the usual this evening, I think we'll wait for the 25 before having a proper celebration.
As for the 'incriminating evidence' we'll just have to wait and see. You know how it goes, the next one will be 'They said to ask you about such and such'. I'll have to work on some form of plausible deniability.
I always look forward to the new week with eager anticipation, as you say, who knows what might happen.
Here's to a pleasant evening for us all.
You are most welcome as always!! Aw C'mon that's not like you a celebration is a celebration remember!! ha ha
Plausible deniability is a sensible way to go afterall it is an age and their memory can always be faulty isn't that what lawyers always use to place doubt...they certainly get appear to succeed with it.....the only issue is if Dad did it so can I....
A pleasant evening for all sounds right...I second that motion....

Happy anniversary Sir and the same to your wife, and Sunday always seemed appropriate for the start of the week, it's a way to start out nice and easy, sort of relax into it rather than slam Bam thank you ma'am sort of the day like Monday. And it's a day that prepares you for Monday.
Thank you Joseph, much appreciated. I agree, you have described Sunday perfectly.
