I have two (2) surprises for you:
1. I said I would not be writing any more tutorial and here I am writing one.
I guess writer's write.
I had so many members telling me not to stop writing tutorials that I felt that if they wanted my "wisdom" and such, I'm not going to say, No.
Also, I can' t seem to stay away from Chat when I see friends there--or new members whom I like to greet.
2. I have never concentrated on affiliate marketing as much as I have on selling real products.
Before I was here at Wealthy Affiliate over four (4) years ago, I was in the book business. I bought and sold books from my garage by going to yard sales and buying for a dime or a quarter at the most and then listing them on Alibris.com (sometimes on Amazon.com).
I got started in the book business when I bought 80 books for $40.00 from a Kiwanis book sale in Payson, Arizona. A few minutes later (literally) I sold Birds of New Mexico for $140.00. Having been through a year of advanced engineering math in grad school I calculated that I had just earned one hundred buck. I wrote a booklet on this subject, How to Buy Books for Pennies and Sell Them for Dollars on the Internet. I still have a bunch of these in my garage.
