Let's Start Using Firebug - The Fun Begins Here

Now for the fun part. Go to any website you want. You do not need to go to your website. As a matter of fact, I recommend you do not because you might become alarmed at first if you see changes occurring to your website that you own. So, pick a website you know you have no control over as far as making permanent live changes.

I chose the Wealth Affiliate website, because we know Kyle and Carson are the only ones who have any control over the WA website.

Once you are on any website, to bring up the Firebug HTML editor, hit F12.

Using your keyboard find your F12 key as shown here:

I went to http://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/ and activated Firebug in the upper right hand corner. I signed out of WA so I would go the main WA page:

You will now see something like this if you were to do the same:

You will see the WA main sign up page in the background with another screen showing the code for that particular page. Take a few minutes to look it over.

Thank you Stephanie.
I have saved all of this, because as you know, I know nothing about HTML. :(
Be sure that I will come hollering if I get stuck one day.
I appreciate all your valuable tips and training.

Okay here is a dumb question. How do you switch over to Firefox browser?

Hi...I am sorry. I should have included that in the training. Go here to download Firefox

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

But I think you can also use Firebug in other browsers too. If you prefer Google Chrome is the download page:

And here is a download for IE:

Thank you Linda. I think it has potential to help those who do not want to take the risk of breaking their website by making a change in HTML. This way, they can create a draft form of what the changes will look like.

Will certainly look at this one. (Actually a firebug is someone who starts all these nasty bushfires in Oz!)

Do you the movie Wizard of Oz Helen? I don't remember anything called firebugs, but then again it has been a long time since I have seen the movie.
