Know what you are trying to achieve with each email--and how you can best achieve it? If you're selling a product then you need to create a series of emails that guide people through the benefits of your product or service. Perhaps a 4 part series of emails that addresses potential customer objections by offering each email with ways that your service benefits the customers, and how it solves their problems, guiding them through to the point where they might be ready to buy.
You may be better served with a series of niche emails--offering different segments of your highly targeted offers throughout the year. I think this could be a great way because it would be easier to organize.
Over a period of time, consistent email marketing will yield some excellent information about your customers that you could possibly use to take action. You'll learn by tracking click-throughs--which content you produce is most responsive, and which just doesn't work.
