Right, we are getting there, nearly done in fact, let's explore socializing a little bit more though shall we?

We are going to start searching for related blogs and tags now.

Step One: Search for related tags and blogs using the two search methods below:

I usually search for tags, people who have tagged "quit smoking" or other related tags are people I want to relate to. However, searching for blogs related to "quit smoking" still yields good results, as I can reblog, like, and comment on their posts and make connections that way.

Step Two: Socialize with the results you like!

Once you have found some related blogs, just go about "liking" or "reblogging" any you see. As you saw in the previous page's social settings, you might not be able to comment on someone's blog unless you have been following them for two weeks, but that's no problem, they will come check you out if you "like" their blog most probably.

Choose 3 to reblog, 3 to like, and 3 to follow. 3 is the magic number, try to do this everyday. If you also reblog or like any unrelated but interesting blogs, that is great too, you don't want to appear too narrow.

My teenage daughter is one of Tumblr''s biggest disciple. She likes it much more than Facebook.

The more I use it the more useful and enjoyable I find it to be, facebook is great for keeping in touch with friends (or trying to) but tumblr is a much better way of seeing and learning new things, as well as potentially making new friends!

This is a great idea! I've stayed away from tumblr myself because it looked very overwhelming, but I do believe I'll set up an account this evening. Thanks for sharing this!

after researching it I realized that it is actually pretty good and can be similar to twitter/pinterest and others put together, it just needs a bit of setting up, which is where this guide came in! glad I got you interested
