Remember that the color purple is explicitly associated with "expensive", so if you want to project that the products on your website very are beneficial in the market than purple is just not the color that will match your website, use the color only if products and your target falls in the high price segment.

I like all the thought and work you put into this Loes. My site is full of pink for babies. One of my goals is to learn how to code so I can change colors in the theme where I want to do so. I also need to spend time working on pictures to help them stand out where needed and just support if that is the purpose.

Good article and thanks for this link, very useful. It seems to me there was a fashion about 10 years ago to have black background sites. I see much less of that now- white as a background seems to predominate.

Nice job in training, Loes. I have a scrapbooking site and it's FULL of colors -- mostly muted red. I'm not sure what that means in your scheme of analysis. LOL. Of course today, I'm fighting with a new version of the theme. UGH.
