Next, I create a quick blueprint or layout of my article. Basically, I will create bullet points or subheadings of points I want to touch on throughout my article. For example, if I want to create a how-to article about getting big biceps, then the title of my article might be "how to get big biceps fast". My bullet points or subheadings may look something like this:

  • Intro
  • Exercises you'll do
  • How to perform each exercise
  • Biceps workouts you'll do to get bigger biceps
  • Foods to eat to get bigger biceps
  • Conclusion

As for research, if it's a topic I'm very familiar with, then I won't have to spend a lot of time on it. If I'm covering a topic I'm not that familiar with, then I'll research before I create my bullet points list. I'll gather the points I want to cover and then create my bullet points list, if that makes sense?

Thanks Nathan. Great article. I have hit a "writer's block" these past two days, and needed some encouragement. This article was perfectly timed.
Best to you.

This will help a lot of people because commonsense is not common.

Have a great day

That's a nice system you got going on. I sort of do the same thing but usually spend to much time on the research. Great advice and thanks for the great tips.
