Let's Discuss Content, Quality and Variety

No, we're not discussing vegetables, but what is being shown here is a variety of vegetables. Now in our content, we want it to be varied and it needs to have quality content.

For some of you, 1500 words seems quite daunting. But you'll soon see that because you have a passion for what you are writing about, you won't even notice that you've reached 1500 words. If you are not passionate about your topic, you should choose one that you are passionate about.

Some Pointers On How To Structure Your Content:

1/ Keep the paragraphs short for easier reading.

2/ Make sure your sentences don't carry on for the whole paragraph! Break them up into short phrases, easy to read. This will ensure that you keep your readers engaged.

3/ Write about different aspects of the topic you wish to convey your expertise on. This will ensure that your content is varied.

4/ Since you are an expert on this subject, make sure your statements contain quality content and not something you think it might be. Be sure of what you are writing and know your facts from the fiction!

Now that we've covered Content, Quality and Variety, let's move on to Visitor Engagement (Comments).

Great training Edu, I am afraid my plugins are to much, but that went down after adding the 5th already

Thanks Loes! Glad I was able to assist. Yes, I've read differing opinions on whether it's better to only have 5 or less, or 10 or less.

I think it's dependent on whether they are light to operate or if they slow your website down so much so, that no one wants to wait for them to load.

WA stops at 5 with the % counting, but you need to install more then 5 when you follow the course, so I left this one behind me

Thanks to you also.

I have been through lots of critiques in my design careers; (interior design in school and web design from clients). Good feedback is not subjective comments like "It's too dark". That is a design preference statement. A more constructive statement would be like, "The text color is too hard to read with its background color-there needs to be more contrast".

Something like that about design principles and elements which also include layout, but are not limited to visuals. Even writing can be addressed. One thing I do and catch myself is to use the same words too often. So it can get boring and repetitious to do that and if that were pointed out it would be constructive and helpful to me.

I have seen some unimpressive web designs on the first pages of Google, (not anyone here . . . just when browsing), so I don't think the search engines see design but it is good to pay attention to it anyway, LOL.
