Hey guys,

I hope you are going ok so far and have a clear understanding of who your customer is and how much you need to sell to them in order to meet your financial goals as well as the targets set out within your respective compensation plan.

Today we are going to continue in this vein as we discuss your niche. Now I know what you might say here.. "I know my niche as it is what my MLM sells". Well that is true, but what if your MLM programs sells multiple products from different niches (such as supplements and beauty products). Also refer back to your customer base we discussed in lesson 2 in relation to what your company sells - think about how you might respond to online marketing for your company's products compared to your parents, or children.

At the end of the day, whilst it is true that your MLM night work in the essential oils, CBD oil, fashion or any other niche, it is essentially the sub niche that we are clarifying here. Let's now run through today's training first:

Training Outline:

Lesson 3 discusses the term 'niche' with an outline of what it means. Remembering that this training is aimed at those working in affiliate marketing and hence discusses that you can choose any niche you like, your job here as you read this is to narrow down your target niche for your MLM sales strategies.

So with that in mind, you training tasks today are:

1. Complete the "Choose a Niche" training by clicking on the link below:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/online-entrepreneur...

2. Refer back to your target audience from Lesson 2 and then try and match your MLM products to them.

MLM Influences:

Ok, so hopefully you are starting to gain an understanding of a niche market that you can target with your MLM Products. If not, let's check out some examples:

Say you are working with a MLM company that sells fitness, dietary and weight loss supplements. Here are some potential options/examples:

1. You are looking at targeting the corporate worker who has no time to eat properly - or spends too much time at long lunches. Your niche is then healthy options for the office worker market. Your target products - dietary supplements.

2. You are a new mother (and looking to use your MLM membership to make you some cash whilst you are on maternity leave) so your niche may be new mothers looking to lose that baby weight. Your target products - weight loss supplements and fitness programs (some MLMs have these too).

We can see here now that there are two (amongst many) distinct sub niches within the one MLM program.

Why is this important?

Because as we build our site, we will be focusing our efforts on our customer base and sub niche so that we know that we are solving their problems and leading them to sales.

Remember the training page:

(1) You are going to be writing content within your niche
(2) You are going to be communicating within your niche
(3) You are going to be choosing products to promote within your niche
(4) You are going to get to help people within your niche.

What do we need to do now?

Essentially, the content we have covered so far in lessons 2 and 3 in this training are the key to funneling more sales into your MLM downline (we will discuss recruitment in another lesson). In the shortest of examples this is:

  1. Identify your target audience.
  2. Choose the products that your MLM program sells that are best suited to their needs - and more importantly - solves their problems.

Now, this doesn't have to be set in stone, and trust me, you will tinker with this numerous times over your journey - say for example you decide to branch out into the family members of your corporate audience. However it you are starting with a base idea, you are going to be able to get your site up and running in the right direction to start with.

So, based on all of that, your MLM related tasks for today are to start to answer the questions above:

  1. Clarify your customer base.
  2. Start to match products to them based on the problems that they have - i.e. weight loss, chemical free living, change in beauty regime etc. etc.
  3. Work these answers into an initial sub niche.

See you at the next lesson where we are going to build our website.

Paul

Before you go, I know that the information above can be a bit daunting. If you need help or just want to run some stuff by me, please comment below and we can run through it together.

Tasks 0/3 completed
1. Revisit your customer base from level 2
2. Match the products of your MLM program to those customers
3. Use this information to narrow down to a starting sub niche

Very intrersting concept. I was burned (as in cremated) several times in several MLM's - good companies. I was not MLM material. USANA, ACN, my last two attempts. I am happy to grow in WA, feeling it is better for my skills and personality. IF I can get the handle on creating menus. It makes sense to me in the training. As soon as I face the workspace, I lose focus and end of with "garbage output."
So I'm proceeding forward. I dumped MLM a few years back, and emptying my cupboards, halls and garage of the remnants of my hopeful splurges in promotional products. You know the story...

It appears you found a great answer. wishing you the best of it all!
