If you go to your earnings table on your Amazon Associates dashboard you will be able to dissect what you have sold and what fees you have made.

The image above shows sales I made in the first couple of days in December, nothing special but I do find it fascinating that these sales were generated from my Niche website which is Minecraft!!!!

The column we are interested in is the advertising fee as this is were we can first spot a problem.

If it is zero it mens you have not been paid your fee.

Reasons?

1. Always be aware that when you buy something on Amazon for yourself then you will NOT earn a fee so the advertising fee will be zero.

You will know what products are yours by the product title.

2. If a family member or friend has bought a product that you have sent a link to or they may have clicked a link on your social media account then the algorithms will pick this up as a linked associate to you and will probably stop the commission.

This is where the Algorithms can bring up fans readings..

3. If a visitor clicks on your website link and doesn't buy straight away the link expires after 24 hours.

However if the visitor clicks on your link and adds an item to their shopping cart then it will last for 90 days:

Amazon:

"As long as the item was added to the customer's Shopping Cart during this 24-hour window, you will still earn a referral fee if the order is placed before the Shopping Cart expires (usually after 90 days). The referral fee will not be credited to your Associates account until the customer has purchased the item, accepted delivery, and remitted full payment to Amazon.co.uk."

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I am currently re-establishing my affiliate links with Amazon because I did not get my required 3 sales.

Thanks for this training Darren. I referred 9 sales during the 6 month probationary period but got a email saying that my amazon account application has been rejected due to no "qualified sales". Only one of those sales that i know of was made by a family member or friend. They may have recorded a couple of items that i purchased myself, however, several of them are items definitely did not purchase (some of which i have never purchased) . It seems to me that, at least half of those sales should meet the criteria.

I need to contact them (as you explained) and get some answers.

Thanks again, blessings, Brad
