Introduction:
When you search the internet for images, you’ll find many websites offering Stock Photos. Those images are Copyright protected and you need to follow several rules in order to use them to your needs. The majority of the images will cost you money and run under Royalty Free License.
This means, once paid, you’re free to use them without crediting the author and usually can modify them to your likings.
However, maybe you’re on a tight budget or you simply don’t want to pay for an image big bucks, as prices vary highly between $1 - $10 and counting. Finding free images, which are relevant to your niche, can be literally like finding the needle in a haystack.
Only a few websites offer their images as free downloads and if you finally found the right image, you’ll have to consider Copyright and Licensing. To be on the safe side, the proper and expected way is to add an Image Courtesy to credit the author. This is followed by providing either a link to the image’s website or the image is linked to the website/profile of the author.
There are many ways to addCourtesy. In this Tutorial, I’m going to walk you through the following steps:
- How to upload an image to WordPress
