TIP 5 - The offer that can't be refused!

It's time to go to town on your value proposition - what is that satisfies the need of your customer. Remember, you're not just selling a product or service, you're offering a solution to a problem, a certain outcome and/or an experience that they won't get anywhere else.

Highlight what each and every benefit is worth... not just financially, but emotionally too.

Adding value

If, for example, you're selling a book, is it a limited edition? Are signed copies available? Can you have the author make a special dedication?

The once-in-a-lifetime offer

Special offers can of course eat into your overall profitability. However, a good special offer can also increase sales volumes disproportionately, and as a result actually increase your overall profitability.

So maybe think about giving a special offer to enable your buyer to press that all important 'Buy' button!

It might be a limited time only offer price or some free added extras. Whatever the offer, you need to leave your reader knowing that what they will get is worth so much more than what they will be paying. Let them know that you have exactly what they need, at a price that makes it an unmissable bargain buy.

Better still, if you can show that in time it pays for itself over time, then you're onto a surefire winner, as you're ultimately making it a free purchase.

What a great tutorial! This is going to help me as I have never been much of a salesperson. I enjoyed the tutorial and I took a lot of good notes that I believe I will be able to incorporate into my reviews on products. Thank you for taking the time to put this together!

Thanks Jim. You are very kind. Don't worry, these can all be implemented in good time. These are tips to give you a head start, over and above what the training offers here at WA - which of course is fantastic in itself. Good luck.

can you give an example of a subtitle that would stop a scroller/page scanner like you then? lol

Haha... That's a good question Mary. I should include an example shouldn't i.... I shall amend this. You could use something like "STOP PRESS:... ' or "If you read nothing else..." or "All you need to know about....." or "This is how XYZ helped Mrs L in the UK". That kind of thing. Something that at a glance will help me get the salient points immediately, for me to then be able to make a purchase decision.
