The Google Keyword tool

Is it just me? Or are keyword tools a little expensive? I don’t know about you, but I prefer something free over something that’s not; even if it’s less powerful.

To launch this module off, I’m going to ask a series of rhetorical questions. If you want to answer them out loud to yourself and/or yell the answer frantically at the screen that’s fine.

What is the search engine that our lives seem to revolve around?

What is the search engine that we try to rank our sites and articles for?

Who do you think is the search engine we’re probably going to want to please and/or impress?

What is the search engine affectionately known as “Fat daddy G?”

If your answer to any of these was Google, than you have earned the right to keep reading. Good job. If you answered anything other than Google, than you have not (but I suppose I can’t stop you so go ahead anyway). Although, I have one more question for you.

What do you think this training is about? (same answer as before). That’s right, Google.

Alright, let’s get started

Once you have found the keyword(s) that fit your criteria you should check them using only "exact" for a more accurate view of searches and competition.

That's probably true, but I don't usually go back and recheck after I find my criteria. is that something that you think I should add to the training?

Exactly, the only way I truly gauge a keyword I am going to use is exact match. Good point.
