*Reminder: Site look was changed in Jan '14. Will update if a new video is made available but the affiliate link option is still there and you can still post/share it on any of your social media platforms. For shortened affiliate links I believe you will need to shorten them yourself using something like the Google shortener tool here http://goo.gl/

Hey there, Kyle from Wealthy Affiliate. I just wanted to walk everyone through the share functionality within Wealthy Affiliate most people do not realize the fact that you can share content within Wealthy Affiliate and you earn revenue and credits in the process. So I'm just going to quickly walk you through one of my blog posts here and show you exactly how it's done.
(00:25) Within the top of each blog post, and training for that matter, you will see a button set similar to this one. At the top you are going to see your affiliate link. This is where you grab your affiliate link: your short and long affiliate links associated with this post. The short link is basically a cleaner more tidy version of your longer affiliate link because sometimes it's difficult to share a longer link in some circumstances and sometimes you want a short link.
(00:56) So I'll just show you an example, if I go to another tab here and paste this link, you will see that it resolves to your actual long affiliate link. So it's basically just a shortened redirect of your longer affiliate link. But you can share that link wherever you like. You can share it on your blog/website; you can share it on a forum, wherever you want. Basically anywhere you can put a link you can utilize those links there.
(01:29) Then down below you have your share, tweet, Google +, email. These are actually tied into your affiliate account so if you share any of one of these links and someone goes on to join Wealthy Affiliate because of the content you shared; you're going to earn credit for those referrals. So in this case if I were to tweet a post, you can see it goes to my twitter account here (01:55), its @kyleandcarson, but the actual post here has the associated shortened link with it.
(02:04) So if I shared this on twitter. If I tweeted it, I would get full credit for anyone that read the tweet, went to the link, and ultimately joined Wealthy affiliate as a starter member which as you know is 100% free. So I'll just show you g plus (Google +). Same thing, I just click share on g plus, it should show up here...or not. Yeah. Actually, I'll show you the affiliate link.
(02:40) If I copy the affiliate link here, the short affiliate link, I go to my g plus account. I paste that affiliate link in the browser bar here (02:51) oh sorry the g plus field there and click share. I've now shared this link on g plus. So I've shared this content on g plus now so if anyone clicks this (03:11), you know anyone from the outside world, they come to this blog post. And if they are a non member and they decide to join Wealthy Affiliate because of this content then you will get credit.
(03:24) Every time, any time, you do that it's setting your affiliate cookies. So yeah, that's basically it. You can share via Facebook, Twitter, g plus, and there's also an email functionality if you want to email it to your friends or whatever and that would obviously email them this blog post. And again you can share your affiliate link anywhere you want you could add it to your website or blog or forum or wherever you like.
(03:53) So anyways that's the gist of sharing and it's quite powerful if you share regularly and share valuable content. People in return will be engaged and interested in the content you're sharing. It could lead to quite a few leads and it has for a lot of people. So there you go, thanks a lot bye!
