What Ever Happened To Earning Cash For Comments On Websites?
Having not been active engaged on WA for a significant period of time, things change quite significantly and things are not the same, I understand this and appreciate that life must go on.
But, whatever happened to earning cash for comments on websites in Site Comments?
I specifically checked the tour to see if anything had changed and it's still the same, so what's the deal here?
Having reached all the criteria as listed below, I STILL have not earned any cash!
- Commented for 30 Days
- Premium Member
- Met the Commentator Status Criteria above 80% Approval Rate and 0% Dismiss Rate
- Reached 50 Comments and maintaining above 50 Comments
So can anyone tell me what I'm missing and help to fill in the missing puzzle pieces so I can see the bigger picture?

Hello Edu. I was a certified commentator and they have paid me to do them. It seems to me the best thing to do your query to the support. I hope I could have helped you a bit.
Hi - it's down to the economics of the platform. If members are not paying for comments, then certified commenters don't get paid. It should only ever be seen as an opportunity to earn some income not a guarantee.
The problem is, that because there have been a lot of poor comments recently, members have been reluctant to use the Site Comments feature.
However, this has been addressed with the introduction of a new rule that you can't become a certified commenter until you have been premium for 3 months.
Hopefully, this will deter those who only join WA to earn cash for comments. And then, members will be more likely to pay for comments, knowing that the quality of comments will be better.
The problem is, I have been doing this for as long as SiteComments has been around and I rely on it to pay my Domain Renewals, now I'm short on credits to do that and this is a problem for me for it will cost me more to put money into my PayPal account than it will for the cost of the Domain!
Oh dear, that's unfortunate. Not much you can do about it, I suppose. As I said, Kyle has previously stated that it is not guaranteed income.
But the other side of the coin is, the credits were allowed to be used to Renew Domains, has that fallen away too?
Hi - now you mention it, yes, it does appear as though that option is no longer there. I know it was removed from being able to pay membership subscriptions, but it now doesn't seem possible for domains either.
Hi Diane,
I would suggest sending a PM to Kyle and ask him directly. ;-) That way you know for sure that you're getting the right info, seeing that you rely on it
Wishing you all of the very best!

ThThen the information needs to be updated to as this is false information leading members to believe something and it just isn't so...
Hi - I suggest you find specific examples as to where members are being misled and forward them to Kyle for him to correct.
If you mean as regards to receiving payment as a certified commenter, this is what the SiteComments Take a Tour section says -
"Certified commenters gain the ability to generate revenue for comments they offer."
Clever wording, I suppose. They "gain the ability", not "they will generate revenue".
As regards using the credits for domains, yes, it does say "Use Cash Credits for Domains" but then further down, it explains Cash Credits as being earned solely by Create Training and Domain Registrations, with no mention of Site Comments.
However, I understand your frustration. If you previously had the ability to do something and that has been taken away, there should have been an official announcement about it.
I don't think anything has changed. I found the same thing, but I am assuming it is because I skipped commenting on days once in awhile despite having lots of comments.

Not sure, but sounds like you have some good suggestions. I'd vote for asking site support.
