Or Managed?

I came across an interesting article addressing the issue of Shared vs Managed Word Press Hosting and the Pros and Cons of each.

My intrigue got the better of me and although I think I have a pretty good idea of which one Wealthy Affiliate is, I wanted to get the answer from those in the know.

Furthermore, how many visitors are we allowed per website per month?

Your answers and comments as always are appreciated.

WA Hosting is Shared, but it's also MANAGED!

Comparing "Shared" hosting to "Managed" hosting doesn't make much sense, it would make more sense to compare Shared hosting to Dedicated hosting.

Hee is an explanation.

Shared hosting = your site is on a server with websites of other people. Most Managed hosting is shared.

Dedicated hosting = your site is on a server that is your own server where no one else has a website installed. Dedicated hosting costs $100's per month. Usually Dedicated hosting is for very technical people because you get a server and have to take care of it yourself - when problems arise, you're responsible to fix it because you've got full control over the server.

Managed hosting means that you have some level of support available to you to help "manage" your website. At WA means that you have full-time expert engineers that continually monitor your website. If a website experiences an issue then an engineer will get on that right away and fix it. This sometimes means that an engineer needs to login to your site, make code changes, or make security updates, remove or fix plugins/themes. If a site is slow, we investigate why, and fix it. Sometimes we move a site to a different server if that site requires more resources - this keeps the shared hosting network balanced and running optimally. Managed hosting usually costs $100's per month - at WA it's part of the Premium service.

So - at WA you're getting an ELITE service that simply doesn't exist out there, and you're getting that service at a fraction of what it costs elsewhere...something we are extremely proud of :)

Thanks for making that a lot clearer Carson!

....and the amount of website visitors that we are allowed to our websites per month?

That makes sense to me Carson, thank you!

According to the chart at the bottom of the page (link below) WA members can have 500,000 visitors to their sites monthly and 30GB of website space.

https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/

I assume that's for all sites. In the chart it does say 50 websites, so that would be 10,000 per site per month which is more than enough to support a business for each site, I would think.

I wonder how many WA members use all 50 of their sites? That's a lot of visitors and website space for the price, however you look at it.
