the theme I chose I do not like, I want to change it.

Go to your Dashboard, scroll down to Apperance
click on themes and pick one then activate it.

well I just did that and when I got back I had two home pages. so I deleted all my pages and went back and there was my home page only with my about me page on it. so I went back and there is no pages there because I deleted them. so I think my theme is muffed.

how do I delete my theme?

Go To Appearances > Themes

The images of your themes should be listed there. Make sure that you always keep at least your current theme and the Twenty Fourteen Default theme in that section, but you can have a few more.

Mouse over the image of the theme you want to delete. You will see a link in the middle of the screen that says: Theme Details. Click on that.

Then look to the bottom right of your screen. There you will see the delete link.

Although Leo's tutorial below was done before WP 4, so it looks a little different in the back office now, it can help you to understand how to add and change themes.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wordpress-dashboard-tutorial-themes.

Don't forget to activate whatever theme you have decided upon.

thankyou Jude, i seem to be moving in circles. i'll check out the flix.

okay Jude that worked out good, but I some how got the information about me, on my home page. well I don't think you call it a home page because it isn't on the pages in the back office. I don't have any pages in my back office, it just come up on the new theme. how do I delete it?

I mentioned in your other question that you can send me a private message with your log in details if you would like me to log in to your website and see if I can sort things out for you.

Please list all the questions you have in the private message so I can look at everything in one go. ~ Jude

okay a question for my question. how come I can't type no more in the question box? I can't even put an te on the end of website, or a question mark for that matter? what they only

You "home" page is actually your Blogroll, a list of your blog posts. That is the default WP setting.

If you take a look at your website, I have added two dummy posts and 5 static pages that you can now play around with.

~Jude

Thank You so much I really don't have time to check it out right now, but I will after church. I'll talk with you then. Thanks again Jude

and my question is answered again, Thanks Judebanks!

Your questions show up, so you must be doing it right. The best way to ask a question is to click on the Pen symbol in the top bar at the right of your screen. From the drop down menu, select the fourth item, Ask A Question.

Your questions are getting through though. You can see them here:

~Jude

Eddie shows you how in this video, using a custom link.

The audio volume is a bit low, so set it to the highest level on your computer, but I was able to hear and follow it:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-create-home-page-tab

As Eddie says, you can name this anything you want. I prefer to call it Blog rather than Home.

Make sure the link you use is your main domain URL:

e.g. http://yourdomainname.com

WP automatically sets the default landing page to your blogroll anyway, but just in case, you can make sure this happens

Go to >Settings > Reading and check that "Posts" is ticked as the
front page display.

~Jude

okay I did that and it shows two homes both are linked to each other,
but when I delete it, it only shows the one I created as being deleted.
the other is still there, now remember there is no menu I deleted it.
and the funny thing is that it got the about me page on it.

Lol.... If you wish, you can send me a private message with your log in details to your website and I will log in to see if I can figure it out for you. ~Jude

Have you created one called Home?

no but they never schooled me to. when I created my other pages it was there, but when i moved them it disappeared.

Check your menu under Apperance
See if it is there on the menu

I spent a lot of time looking for a theme, and I don't even know what I'm looking for. I know what I want to do (sell custom made shell jewelry), seems to me it would be easier for

Good point, I had to do a lot of reading in each theme to find the one that fit what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing.
Kim

my goodness I found one, only after setting it up I found I don't like it.
so tell me do you like yours, I hope so, this can be punishment.

I actually had a different theme to start, and then I decided to change that theme with the content I had already added and I liked the presentation much better, so I have stuck with the 2nd theme I had already saved.
