I'm confused. Someone told me I should be a blog to get ranked higher in google. I write posts? Is that the same thing as a blog? What is the difference? Is one better than the
Both of the answers below are spot on but it depends on the context in which the word is used. For example:
1) If someone is saying "I've been working really hard this week on my blog and getting lots done" they are most likely referring to their overall blog/ website- this is what you're affiliate marketing website is I had a look.
2) If however, they say "I've pumped out a few blogs this week and I'm already seeing them ranking in Google" then they are most likely referring to the actual post that sits inside your overall website/ blog. The actual posts I'm talking about here are also commonly referred to as 'blog posts' to make matters more confusing lol.
What this really comes down to is people using different terms loosely that don't necessarily represent the 'exact' meaning of the word. We all do it myself included.
To answer your question directly... this person was most likely referring to example 1- creating an actual blog (not post).
Hope this clarifies things a bit, all the best!
Your blog is a series of articles or stories.. Each individual story or article is called a post.
A blog is like an online newspaper or magazine, and a post is like an article in the newspaper or magazine.

I'm curious what everyone is using for keyword searches? Which ones do you like best? I use the tool here on wealthy affiliate and I use google. I haven't decided if it is wort
Hi Toasty, I am using the one at WA. To me, it's the same as Jaaxy. Yes, Jaaxy has a little bit more stuff, but at the end, it's a keyword. At times when I find a good one WA, I double check at Jaaxy. I am still using the 30 free keywords, think I have 5 left, hahaha.
Good to know... thanks for your response. Do you seem to rank pretty well with the keywords you find on WA?
Ranking well is relative. First Page? Within the first 5 pages? Within the first 10 pages? I'm doing this for about 2 months, and I'm all over the place with the keywords. Got some posts/pages ranked on page 2, but most of them somewhere between page 2 and 8. Inching its way up.
You are really the one that selects the keyword. Maybe Jaaxy gives you different choices in suggesting other keyword related to the one you are searching for. But are they better than WA keyword alternatives? Who knows?
I still switch between Google and WA to see the competition and hits.
Do I get clicks on my site? Yes. Just nothing that converted into $$ yet, but I believe it's just a matter of time. I had clicks from my page to Amazon, but no sale yet.
Unless you got money to spend to try the Mercedez of keywords, I would stick with WA keyword tool.
That's my thinking!
I think I will stick with the free tools. I have one site that is getting clicks and from there clicks also on amazon. I have one small sale on amazon. But I seem to rank because of the posts I share on Google Plus which is still good I guess but I would really like to see some better rankings from my site itself. If that makes sense. I may be just being impatient about the whole thing. thanks

I just checked my google search console and I have no clicks on one of my sites at all and very few on the others. I am trying to write good content, I'm posting on social medi
How much traffic do keywords get what is your ranking for keywords top 3 in tanking get all traffic
I'm trying to find keywords without too much competition. Maybe I need to do more research. Thx for responding
That is good tips but so times people just do not click as I find some times 20 some times 2 so do not even bother about it just carry on with what you are doing
if people are not clicking on your article to read it then you need to look at a couple things.
1. Is your article actually ranking on page 1? Really hard for anyone to read anything if its not ranking anywhere.
2. Your meta description is not compelling enough for people to click on to read it.
Go to your top 10 posts that have the most impressions and highest rankings. Tweak your meta description and monitor the click through rates
