I have noticed on my google site kit the home page comes over as The Soccer Learning Center - Soccer Business Logo?
Besides your issue here, your domain without "the" is a well-established business. I would want to consider changing it.
Your blog is set to your latest posts vs. a static page.
You may check this in Settings > Reading.
Your website is fine except for the domain name, and just to make you aware.
I did notice that a while back; how do I change the name? Do I need to set up another site and transfer the contents over :(
Sorry one other thing when I go to the setting and hit the static page, it asks which page, and that's when I don't see a home page
You want to set up your blog to your latest posts vs a static page.
I choose that and save the changes.
Also, when searching in Google, the traffic goes to them vs. you (losing traffic over to them)
I get creative, find myself another dot com domain, then move it over
You can use leandomainsearch dot com, you input a word, and it gives you another
And a godaddy valuation tool to find a memorable name.
I'd also use this site
http://namecheckr.com
to check if the name is also available on social media platforms.
However, nowadays, domains are not so affected by SEO vs. writing quality-rich content with a good choice of keywords, the latter of which would rank you in the search engines.
I would always go for a dot com domain name vs dot net or dot org as people's perceptions when they start typing they would typically assume it is a dot com. And make sure it is spelled correctly, as it cannot be edited once purchased.
I would not include dashes and check if the domain is copyrighted, trademarked, or registered to an established business.
Then,
You can use the move feature found within your site manager to move your siterubix subdomain to your dot com, when you are ready. It is a simple process.
You would need to wait up to 30 days (Kyle's recommendation) for 301 redirects to be completed and for the search engines. After of which you MAY delete the subdomain however you could keep it for longer if hosting space is not an issue or for testing purposes such as themes, plugins, scripts, coding etc
You can check Kyles training tutorial below Move On Over, My Brand Has Arrived
Thank you so much for all the info; I think I have found a good name for what I'm doing :), so can my dot com site I have built now, www.thesoccerlearningcenter.com, over to the new site; it doesn't have to be the siterubix domain right, sorry for all the questions hopefully this is the last one. By the way, how are things with your dad
That's fine; it can be any two sites with any extension - the destination URL domain name would be wiped out once the move is made.
Looking good :) Good job.
I'd keep the old one intact for 30 days, as advised above.

Why would my home page on my website come over as a hyper link instead of a page?

AWIN promotes affiliate links, seems to have a lot of companies, some big businesses. One thing I noticed not many of their links are updated?
I believe JeannineC is the WA representative for AwIn. Leave her a message on her profile.

Trying to add amazon links to a page, how do you enter the code they supply?
You need to copy the whole URL and paste it in the text interface of your block editor.

You have to enter in your dotcom as the hyperlink. This way when visitors are on another page of your site and then click "home", it takes them there.
If not the page will only refresh.
Thank you JR
Anytime buddy.
