That's sO funny. I just posted a blog last night titles "I did it!" I just created a free blog with a free logo maker online. Funny thing is how do I share my blog here so u can pick up my link. :D

I could be wrong, but if you can still log in to your old site from the WA "build my website" page and going to buy a domain for this site anyways, you should be able to point it to WA and then move your original old site to it as normal. Then you could use whatever theme you want for it. Just an idea, hope that all works out well. Best wishes on your endeavors.

I changed my site name when I switched to my own domain from the siterubix also. When I go to "Build my Website", the WA page here still shows the original - but when I log in, it goes to my new site.
I've been told that changing the 'name' on the Build page isn't possible...but when you login to your new site, it should pull up your new domain and the proper name.
I hadn't bought a domain yet, I just changed the name of my current siterubix site. Unfortunately I must have done something wrong and can't figure out how to fix it. But I have sent in a support ticket so hopefully it gets sorted out. Thank you!

If your new site has nothing there, any of your old posts, What would happen if you deleted that site entirely. I wonder if then your old site would reappear? I am too new to WA to know exactly what would happen. I am sorry if I am no help.

Seems you have changed the website name but not the domain name!
You cannot change the domain/subdomain name. You have to create a new website with the new name.

You cannot change the siterubix subdomain name, only the site name, but since you are premium and can have as many websites as you like, simply create a new one (and delete the old if you like).
Or you can purchase the domain first and create your site immediately on the new domain (without first having a siterubix subdomain).

Because this is a WA site, I would go directly to Kyle or Carson with this question. I wish I had the answer, but I really do not know what goes on behind the WA developed sites.

I had the same problem. Someone suggested that I had too many backups. When I checked, I did have 2 pages of them. I deleted all but last 3, and voila. My backups have been fine ever since. I use dropbox too
I just went and checked mine. It is set to only save the last 3, so everyday it deletes one. It's working for my past site still, but not even saving the new one. I keep setting it up to save to dropbox and every day it has changed back to email.
Maybe I'll delete it and try it again.

I only have a free account with them and its not very big, and I'm so close to the limit, I'm not sure if I could put much of anything else in it. If that is the problem, there are other free storage sites like it that you might be able to use for the storage space.

I got one of those along time ago for a custom URL, but you can't shorten it or change it later. You don't have to change anything with authorship though.

Sounds like you are going to need to FTP it up onto WA server, assuming that is the location of your website right? This is not an easy task as WA server is set up for us "not" to have to upload a separate theme that the many they offer here. It is possible to successfully upload a purchased theme not provided here at WA however it is not an easy task .... we have some experts here, get into a chat and try to find a Wordpress expert on here, we have a few and see if they can talk you through it. I know how to do it but can't explain, only because I was a software engineer before WA and understand http programming and needs. I hope this helps and doesn't "scare" you ....
It was a theme from wordpress, I just updated it to premium version. I got it working thanks to Karyskis tip!
First of all, make a copy of the .zip file. Make a backup (export) of your website.
Unzip the file once to see if there are other files in your theme folder, normally you will find another zip.file with your theme only.
Go to themes, upload your new theme and activitate. Afterwards customize to your need.
I think I got it figured out. I had seen it done before on a tutorial and completely forgot. Brain was a bit friend yesterday.

Oh wait, you have the file? You go to appearances, themes and then on top there is add new. Then upload theme comes up on top, select where the file is and download it.
