How to Put a Table into WordPress
I wanted a simple way to place a table into a WordPress document. The WA answer box does not always bring up that answer to your question. Just don’t give up. Just ask the question again in different words. That usually works for me.
TablePress
Well one of our members had a post on TablePress, a WordPress plug-in. He said it was very easy to create a table but he did know that I’m very dumb. However, I asked a couple of questions on the Internet which got me out of trouble.
When you create a table in TablePress, you are given a code for that table to place in your document. You don’t see the table until you preview the document or publish it. That means that you have to edit your table in TablePress.
Linking
There is a linking function so you can link to any cell in your table.
Pics
You can also put a pic in any cell. If you do place an Amazon pic, using the image only linking function, then Amazon will bring up the size of the pick as small. That works well in a table where you don’t want the image to crowd out everything else. But just using the text and image linkage might suit you fine. it fits nice in a cell.
Inserting and Deleting Rows and Columns
This is very simple to do. Just click on the row or column and let 'er go!
Plugin Helps
Usually when you try to do something with the plug-in, it brings you up a little pop-up that tells you how to do it. What you do it, it will not bring the pop up again.
So I say have some fun with TablePress. The author is very good at answering your questions or you can just ask a question here or on the Internet. It is best to play with the plugin first.

TablePress has some advanced functions, but if you just need a simple table, I prefer just writing one in HTML. When editing a page or post, just switch from 'visual' to 'text' editor, and add this: this is the text in row 1 column 1 this is the text in row 1 column 2 this is the text in row 1 column 3 this is the text in row 2 column 1 this is the text in row 2 column 2 this is the text in row 2 column 3
etc.
