Keyword, Niche and Market Research

I was doing keyword research and came across the product having low competition and low traffic with the words "sale" and "best price". Does anyone use these words as keywords t

When you are looking for keywords always remember to ask yourself if the keyword makes sense. In this case, sale best price is not a keyword a human would type in a search engine. When you encounter these keywors my best advice is to change the position of words. For example(sale best price) would most likely be (best sale price)

Those words alone would be super high competition. I'd do the alphabet soup method to find other words to blend with it like "online sale price" or something like that. Hope this helps!

Hi Taac,

I do not use any of those words as a keyword. The only issue with those keywords is the article, page or blog is only temporary. It is not evergreen. You want to use evergreen keywords so you can earn money for a longer period of time.

Using best price or sale will eventually be over. Or, someone else may have a better price than what you are promoting.

Stick with evergreen keywords, are those that do not have a date attached to them.

I wish you the best as an online marketer here at WA. You may want to sign up for Jay's webinar as it's on keeping your content on the first page of Google. It begins at 7PM Central Daylight Time.

Thank you George. I thought it might be a bad idea that's why I wanted to ask the community. Thanks for your input and thanks for reminding me of Jay's webinar!

sorry robert just saw ur message now and tku for caring. It is the strangest thing when i click on my affiliate link it does nothing but when others clicked on it for me, it worked. So Strange!

Hi T. Yes you can link to any site you like whether it's your own or not as long as it is relevant to do so. I am not sure whether the search engines will pick up the fact you are the author of both sites so it will be counted as a backlink.

Thank you very much for your imput!

It won't really count as a backlink being that you are the author of both sites, but yes, you can link to the niche site.

Thank you boomergp08!

You are welcome

Will you get penalized for referring to your keywords many times in your article? Thanks WA community!

As you write your article 2%-4% usuage of your keyword is plenty and it should not matter, however, beyond that it could become a problem. Using the writer in WA will help figure out the percentage of each keyword you use in each article.

Great, thank you for the information about the writer in WA. I didn't get to that in the lessons yet.

Too many times yes you can the best way to use them is in the first couple of sentences and at the end of your article.

Thank you for the reply Tommy.
