It definitely is not the end of Google, it is actually the end of people's rankings in Google that decide to generate AI content and publish it on their website. The content is often times plausible, but lacks actual facts...and is still very robotic in nature as well,.

There are going to be a lot or applications to AI, and there currently are lots with the existing state of ChatGPT, but content and real-time reliable information are not that.

Rock and a hard place springs to mind. ChatGPT is controversial and I would suggest proceeding with caution but maybe use it to generate ideas and work from there.

Best,
Paul

Don't believe everything you read. Google already said they will not accept content written by ChatGPT. It's against their guidelines. Google will always exist. ChatGPT developer is working on a watermark so that means they can't copy content. It's limited and only meant to be an assistant. Keep writing human written content, Google will reward you. Have great 2023.

Yes, ChatGPT is trending & it's awesome.
Not sure if it replace google, but surely it will put limit to the demand of content writers or copywriters.

I have been experimenting with the hot new kid on the block, ChatGPT, and the content it produces will certainly pass all checks for plagiarism.

But it shouldn't be used for creating blog posts.

AI-produced content is currently against Google's guidelines, and their most recent algorithm specifically stated that they expected posts to be "written for humans, by humans."

It actually warns users - "May occasionally generate incorrect information.

It may occasionally produce harmful instructions or biased content.

Limited knowledge of world and events after 2021."

And ChatGPT apparently intends to add watermarks to any content it produces.

The watermarks won't be visible to you or your readers, but Google will be able to see them and, therefore, won't rank the post highly.

I suspect other AI programs will follow this lead and add watermarks.

Yeah, it is unique, but is easily detected as AI content. Google is years ahead of ChatGPT3, and I am going to blog on this next week (and also discussed it in a fair amount of detail las week).

There is actually no need for watermarks, available software can easily detect this even if you get crafty and you create hybrid content, it will be able to determine which % is AI.

This is a good thing for SEO, because there are going to be a lot of people trying to rank with their AI content and for those actually creating content themselves, it will give a further competitive edge.
