I have been out of commission the past couple of days with my anxiety disorder, so I am sooo sorry for any messages and emails I received and didn't answer, but I'm back in the game and sooo ready to work on my sites and with WA again! Only a couple days feels like a lifetime now being away from WA....lol It has become like air to me...lol..I will answer and follow back those I missed who are following me and going through email....as soon as I sleep..I have been up for almost 36 hours with chest pains from the anxiety...last night I thought I was having a heart attack...lol Just bear with me, and I will work harder than ever...did make one $27.00 sale off my niche blog while I was out of commission, so hasn't been all bad....lol

A little encouragement, if I can make sales being really sick, it's possible to turn this into a passive income! :)

Cograts and I am hoping that you will be feeling a lot better very soon.
Grace

Thank you very much Grace! :)

This is so interesting, I was going to suggest minerals like magnesium to help you relax...I read about the plant Wendy recommends below in the link and it has high levels of magnesium and calcium! Interesting.

I hope the anxiety passes. There is an herb you can make into a drink. It's called Oat Straw. You can put a half cup to a full cup of the leaves, in a mason jar full of boiling water. Seal the jar and leave overnight, strain and drink the next day.

Somebody turned me on to this when I was having a lot of stress and anxiety attacks - it really helped calm me down, and the stuff is harmless. Just calms your nervous system.

Hope you feel better.

Wendy

Where do you find the Oat Straw Wendy? Is it fresh, dried...?

I like the bulk herb store: https://www.bulkherbstore.com/oatstraw-herb-c-s-organic-1-2-lb

All of their products are high quality. I've never had a problem.

I was going to suggest magnesium to Terry for anxiety...I just clicked your link and it says oat straw has high levels of magnesium and calcium! Maybe I should start my human health site...:)

Not a bad idea. If you want to collaborate let me know. I've written quite a few health articles, and they get a lot of traffic.

I just haven't gotten around to my own website yet...working on it.

That was my original goal all along. I thought the pet aspect would be easier since it avoids some of the "I am not a doctor" disclaimers. I guess nowadays it might not be such a big deal though.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind!
Jessica

Oh wow! Thank you! I will check that out! I love that fact that's it's natural..Doctor prescribed me Xanax, but would much rather use natural if possible!! Thanks so much for your advice, and caring! :)

I think you should! You would have a winner Niche there! :)

I've actually was thinking of starting a health site as well! I have a little bit, but it's more on healthy eating, but wanting to expand it to deal with all different illnesses!! :)

They were going to give me drugs too, but I wanted to try a natural remedy first, and it worked.

I eventually stopped the Oat Straw and just take a magnesium supplement before bedtime. Swangirl is right Magnesium is very important. It supports the nervous system.

But at the beginning you're better off with the herb - until the panic and anxiety subside. Good luck! Keep us posted. :-)

Wendy

Thank you very much Wendy, and I will look into that!! :)

Very nice advice Wendy.

Thanks Terry. I have wanted to for a few years now. I just try to heed the advice to stick to one site...I really don't know if I should start a second yet or not. I also have to finish my Master's Degree...so I should probably wait!

Did you ever look into the adrenal fatigue supplement? I can't remember if I told you about it. It is called Sleep Tonight. It helps me sleep and also helps with other effects of adrenal fatigue as well. It is by the brand Enzymatic Therapy and you can order it on Amazon.

My naturopathic doctor recommended it.

No, actually you haven't mentioned that one before, but I do remember you mentioning the natural Lithium! :)

The lithium is for the mental side of stress. This supplement helps balance the cortisol levels in the body produced by the adrenal gland. When we are under a lot of stress for an extended time it damages the adrenal gland.

Basically, it pumps out cortisol to deal with stress (this is the fight or flight hormone) continually. This makes us amped up and it is hard to get to sleep.

The supplement lowers the cortisol level when we take it (in the evening) so we can relax.

This also means you may feel better the next day since you got a good night's sleep.

The key for me is to be able to take it several hours before I want to go to bed. I have not been taking it lately and I have been up too late every night and tired the next day.

Adrenal fatigue also causes many, many other symptoms...look them up, just Google it. I had low back pain for example, and night sweats. This supplement fixed both.

I get that as well..the back pain and night sweats...I thought I was going through early menopause...lol

Please give it a try! It really works. No, you probably aren't going through early menopause. I also needed to deal with estrogen dominance that causes those symptoms as well...I take natural progesterone for that.

Wow Terry, I hope you are doing ok now! I have been away from WA also but I don't have any really good reason. I have been sick but not so sick I couldn't do anything. I was tired and feeling totally unmotivated.

I think I got overwhelmed after a conversation I had with my Section Chief at work on Friday night. He wants me to finish my Master's Degree soon and I am just feeling pressured since I have been so sick. I can't imagine working, doing that and doing WA and everything else all at once. He is being amazingly supportive and offering to make it work with work...so I want to take that opportunity, I am just tired and worn out. I am also getting no sales and little traffic and it is just all frustrating.

Congratulations on your sales!

I'm so sorry to hear that Jessica! :( If you ever need any help with anything, please just message me! Even if it's just to talk! We're friends girl, and you have been very supportive to me!!! :)

Thank you Terry! There will be a Natural Resource Specialist 4 job being created here and it would be the only one in the whole Division of Mining, Land and Water where I work for the State of Alaska. I am currently a Specialist 3 and I would qualify for the 4. It was in the same conversation he told me about the new job coming. It may have just been coincidence (he has asked before if I had my Master's done) or he may want me to be done so I have a better shot at the job...stressful!

I asked (kind of joking) if he wanted me to take a hiatus off work to finish it. He said that might be a good idea...I said I didn't have any leave since I have been sick so much. He said "We will have to find you some". I said I don't think you can request a leave donation if you aren't sick...he said maybe I needed a mental health break. He is really trying to make this work for me somehow.

He has always been interested in my education and wants me to finish so it could be purely coincidence...I really don't know! We will have a ton of work coming at us next year and he wants to hire additional staff to prepare for it. He is also re-writing the position descriptions of our existing jobs. They have suggested before they could put someone under myself or my co-worker even though we are not managers. I suspect they want me to do something more I just don't know what it is yet.

WOW!! Sounds intriguing and exciting!! :) Please keep me posted!! :)

I am sorry to hear that, I went through a period like that but natural hormones did the trick for me and I am very fine and I sleep well, sometimes even too much.

I wish you well and healthy.

Thank you very much!! :)

glad your better.

Thank you!! :)

I'm glad you are feeling better and congrats on your sale. Awesome news...

Thank you very much! :)

So, you made some commission when you were out of commission. How about that, Congratulations !

LOL...good way to word it!! And thank you very much! :)

I know what you mean, I get nerve spasms from all my issues with my back )it's nothing like a muscles spasm, I could only wish.) The real hard part is that it takes 2-3 days to recover from them. Of course, I was pushing myself, trying to get on here and get some work done but I only ended up pushing myself further back. I also understand the sleep deprivation, as well as my meds, give me a great case of insomnia on top of me already being a clinical insomniac. I will average 10-12 hours of broken sleep a week and about 2-3 times a month I will string 3-5 hours in a row which actually makes it worse for me as it's just not enough sleep and it takes more out of me.
No matter what our ailment we just have to do our thing and keep on soldering, just like you are now, but the one thing I have learned from being like this for the past 2 decades is to never be sorry. I know you work twice as hard when you're able to cause you know these days loom in our future. Plus you never hear a blind person apologize for not being able to see right? So use your energy positively and try to mend yourself to get back where you need to be. Kudos to you making a little something out of your discomfort, that has to always be a bonus, I can't wait to have a day like that myself. I wish you positive thoughts and send healing energy on angelic wings as I know this will never even make you break stride because of your strength. Have a great day love.

awwwwww..thank you so very much! What a nice comment!! It made me smile! :) I feel so much love from this community! :) I never complain when I'm not doing good, but this community at WA has shown me I can, and be ok with it! It's true that I put in the extra work to make up for the days that I just can't! My anxiety causes nerve spasms as well, including seizures, and sometimes my voice actually slurs that doctors at one time thought I was having mini strokes, but ends up it's a really bad anxiety disorder....funny how the brain works, and when it hits me hard, my brain shuts down, and a seizure happens! That's how the doctor explained it to me!! But, I just go through it, and then get back on the computer to work again as I find this helps me with my focus and confidence that any disability or illness can NOT stand in our way! It doesn't define us, just makes us stronger to face the next day! Thanks so much for your caring comment! :)

Sorry you haven't felt well Terry...Anxiety SUX big time.. get some sleep girl!!! I will talk to you when you have rested

T

well..slept for 5 hours, and now up and raring to get back in action again! :) Thank you! :)

your are welcome!! Glad that you are feeling better!!!
