I need to move a website from one server to the space I have here on WA. I am using BackupByddy. I was thinking I first set up the domain here. Then create the website (a tempor
If it is a wordpress site to another wordpress site you can export all you content from wordpress into a single file and then upload that file to the new wordpress site. I have done this before and is very easy. Then if you need to point your domain to the new host it should not be hard to do so.
I dont think this is adressing my concerns, I am using BackUpBuddy and my concern is that I can not (as he has) set up a websapce in advance and then when the migration is finsished change the nameservers. I could before but not now for some reason. I am using the same domainname and only moving the website from one server to another (one outside WA and into WA but still the same domain name).
You can simply set up the destination website on a free siterubix subdomain. When that's done, and you've changed the DNS of your own domain to point to the hosting here, then one click will transfer the siterubix to your own domain. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/carson/blog/siterubix-website-to-a-domain-you-own-in-one-click Rich.
