Hi All.
Referring to the attached image, does anyone know how I can align the top of some text with the top of an image? This is what the HTML looks like:
you have a top padding and a top margin in your block text... whether you can remove it is a different matter ....
you may be able to add custom css for that block to remove it ...
have fun

Hi Phil.
I've used HTML span tags to handle this manually, but it's finicky and I can't help but think it's poor technique; I am hoping for a simpler, easier solution.
Thanks anyway.
inline css and html can break the newer blocks ...so use of the advanced custom css part of the block is better....
i am assuming it is built with the block editor...
It's a LOT easier, now that I can attach a bloomin' picture!
Referring to the attachment, please notice that the top of the image is not exactly aligned with the top of the text. There's a noticeable gap which I find supremely irritating. I'm trying to find out how I can get rid of that gap, so that both elements align at the top.
Ta.
I look up few links
https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_vertical-align.asp
https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/html-td-valign-attribute/
You can test and see what works, when added in the additional css it is sitewide, I back up site before making adjustments.
Hi Lula.
Thanks for this, I will definitely give it a shot. I'll let you know how it goes.
Kind regards.

How to align the tops of images and text?

Hi Tayo, after looking at the image you have provided for countrylife, I see your image size is too big.
If you have a large image, reduce its size. Then crop if necessary.
Best image sizes:
480 x 640 - for thumbnail
800 x 600- product image
1270 x 950 - feature image
1500 x 400 header image
2500 x 2000 - Background image.
You can find these free image sizes by doing a google search.
All the best,
Michael

Hi - yes, it's an ongoing problem. It has been reported several times and Carson is aware of it. No idea as to when it will be fixed, very frustrating.
Notification number doesn't update (top bar, bell icon)?

Hi - within the Site Comments section, there is actually an option which says "Report Site".
And there is also that method :-) I was under the impression it was the Give & Take thread, but I may have misread it :-)

Hi Diane.
In fact, I had a faint memory of seeing something along those lines, and I had a quick look for it. Turns out, it's at the bottom of the page and was in that part of the page which ran off the bottom of the screen. Sic est vitalis, as I say in my pretend Latin.
Thanks. I've reported the site now. (Strangely, I wasn't asked what the problem is. 🤷♂️)
Regards.

Actually, I can't.
The first question Site Support asks is, "Does this relate to your website?" If - as indeed is the case here - it does not, there is no pathway to Site Support, only to Community Questions.
I have reported issues with SiteContent, that had nothing to do with my website, and they fixed them for all users within 10 minutes. It's just a placeholder to prevent people from abusing SiteSupport.
The option, which also works, is to message Kyle or Carson, one of the options to select from is Report Content
.
Hi Chrystopher.
I've gone with Diane's suggestion, but thank you for taking the time to answer my question; I appreciate it. 😊👍
