Even the Small Goals

So many times when we set our minds on a goal, no matter how big, we want to reach the peak of that goal before we achieve the steps it takes to get there. I know I've learned this lesson the hard way.I've been a part of WA for almost a year now, and by now if I would have done the boot camps and classrooms by their schedule I should be done with everything. But because I am a natural procrastinator, I am still working on Phase 1 of Boot Camp (but I'm almost done). My site is up and running but still needs some work. I let some of the little things slow me down and discourage me. But I pushed myself to get through them. Some of the tasks, like writing, were my worst struggles. I really surprised myself that I could write my own content. I never saw myself as a writer. Today I signed on to WA and saw I had 1 invited person. WOW! Really! That person chose me? I know it's just 1, but it was mine. I am proud to have that 1 invited person. It put a smile on my face and gave me more motivation to get my butt in gear and get back to work on my site. I can do this!I say all this as a reminder to those of you who are struggling to be proud of your small goals you achieve because you have to reach those before you can hit the big goal.

When I started I did the same thing moving forward when I hadn't finished the beginning. I was then frustrated with my confusion. I now move slowly and finish every step before moving to the next. Great job and you site...

Very inspirational post, Susanna. I've been following the training one thing at a time, but it seems like life keeps getting in the way. You've given me renewed enthusiasm to keep at it - and knowing that small steps are indeed progress toward the goal.

Thanks.

Kali

Filled with pride, what a great feeling of accomplishment !! Susanna. Congratulations, and thank you for encouraging us to keep going forward towards success.

Congrats, Susanna. I'm still waiting for my first invite. But I know once I get my first one, it'll all be downhill from there. Gotta get alot more content out there, I'm also a procrastinator and get easily sidetracked. But it's gonna happen. Congratulations!

Congratulations Susanna, it must be a great feeling. I'm still waiting but it is reading post like yours that makes me carry on. Thank you. Jackie x

Well, it's been 4 months for me, and just now got my website up, barely. I've struggled with it all, but where I would normally throw in the towel, I'm taking breaks, and trying again. At this rate it will take forever, but much better than to just quit, like I did the first time I joined, so I just keep plodding along. Anyway, it's good to know that I'm not the only procrastinator out there, and if you can keep pushing yourself, then so can I. This is actually quite motivating for me. Good luck, sounds like you got that first bite, so hopefully it will go well for you from here on out, and hopefully I'll get there too.....eventually.

Good job Susanna, boy can I relate to you...BigTime!!!

congrats, its never too late to reach your goals just set your pace that you are comfortable with it is all up to you to make it happen and we are all here to help you along if you need it!

Congrats to you, Susanna! I'm sure that first invite will lead to many many more. You are so right, too, about celebrating the small accomplishments made while working toward the bigger goal. That's a concept I teach my young students as well. Breaking the target goal down into smaller, achievable tasks increases your chances for success in the long run. Doing so also helps boost your motivation and self-confidence.

Thank you for sharing your recent success with us and for reminding us to stay the course -- making time to mark even our smallest achievements along the way.
