Don't sweat it Lori. I think everyone feels this way at first. There is so much material to absorb. I have trouble learning by reading or even watching videos. I have to do it. I was lucky to have a spare laptop available so on one PC I would display the lessons, and on the other I would actually do what the lessons said to do.

I built my website just by strictly following the instructions in the lessons.

I don't know if you're doing this but I found if I didn't complete all the steps in a lesson, I would have problems down the road. So much of this stuff is building on previous lessons. So you have to have the foundation in place before you can put up the roof.

Although I've been through all 4 Certification courses, and part of Bootcamp, I still feel lost and foolish at times. I refer back to those lessons all the time.

If you don't have a spare PC, you can accomplish the same thing by splitting your screen so you have two different things going on in different windows. If you need help in doing that, just let me know.

I hope this helps, but don't stress - frustration at first is pretty normal.

Thanks. I appreciate your kind remarks. Oh the training is intense, but trust me, it gets easier. When I was on phase 1, I wasn't sure I could get through it all - there was so much material.

I still refer back to those training videos all the time, I can't possible remember all of that stuff! Maybe an issue of limited brain power. Who knows.,

Anyway, just work through it, and ask if you have questions.

I think I figured out the address. It wasn't as hard as everyone made out. I used GoDaddy to buy my domain but I wanted WA to host it. After all was said and done, all I had to do was logon to my GoDaddy account, go to forwarding, then put my WA site address in the block. It worked just like call forwarding on the phone. A real piece of cake.

I am going to write a blog on it today.

It's nice here, but then I don't have to tell you that. The only problem with living in a resort community is the lack of good jobs. Wal Mart is the biggest employer (Ick).

I am moving slowly, seems like I've been working on writing - which is the strategy some people say works, but I know I need to finish the training. I want to do the Bootcamps as well. I think I just need to schedule time for each activity and do them all.

Boots has been a good little boy. The mare next door was sold and I am beginning to suspect he was "courting" her. She was such a sweetheart though, I already miss her.

Oh yeah, I just read your profile and I am envious. Colorado Springs is one of my favorite areas, but I agree it sure has changed and doesn't have the same smaller town feel any more. I always thought if I had the money I would move up to Woodland Park. Oh well, maybe some day.

I LOVE Woodland Park, and always wated to live there, but it's so expensive, and it was too far from my work, it would be perfect now, of course I probably would be broke all the time. I love my house here in the Springs. I always wanted a Tri-Level, so found this house to rent, good area, good neighbors, and I felt safe, so later, I asked them if I could buy it, I've never been sorry, just a lot of work, big house, big yards, and just me to do it all. We've been on water rationing so both yards are trash, so this summer I'll be getting some money, so plan to have them xerioscaped, at least the front, I need some grass in back for the dogs, and just want a pretty backyard, since that's where I live in the summer. Anyway, the Springs used to be real country, and small town, but now there's not a cowboy in sight, and people aren't so friendly, or maybe it's me, whatever, I have my house, so I'll be here for the long haul. Even with it's faults, I get to wake up and see Pikes Peak every day, so you can't beat that.

I wasn't familiar with the term xerioscaped, so of course I checked out Google and saw some beautiful ideas. I live in the Missouri Ozarks. Lots of lakes and trees, great fishing. My place is deep in the woods - a mile off the road. You either love a place like this or you hate it. Our stories are somewhat similar. In 2001 I needed a vacation as I hadn't had a day off in 7 years. I lived in the city. I found this place I could rent for 2 weeks over the Christmas holiday. It was so quiet and restful, I just didn't want to leave. I rented the place for 3 more years and then asked the people if I could buy it. In 2007, I sold my business and moved here full time, permanently. I got a job teaching at the community college and the rest is history. I do love this part of the country as well

I would love to live where you are, except for the mosquitos and coyotes/wolves, they seem to be everywhere, and with all my cats, I can't do it. It's been so safe where I am, until last year, when this coyote found it's way here. The feral cat population was getting pretty bad, I was feeding 18 of them at a time, plus a fox and a family of racoons, and an occassional skunk, so now I only see a racoon now and then, the foxes are gone, and all the cats have been wiped out except for about four, and they're so wild, I only see them from the window, probably better that way, that's how I got most of my cats, by getting attached to one, she brought her babies to me, and that was it, I ended up with 5 more cats. I'm originally from California, so I'm use to coyotes, but it doesn't make me like them. I even asked if it was legal to shoot them, since I'm planning to buy a gun soon, but I don't know if I could actually kill it, since they're just trying to survive too.

Anyway, getting off track. I've heard that the Ozarks are beautiful. I keep meaning to plan a trip someday to Branson, MO, I think it's almost like Las Vegas in a way, but I'm kind of past the glitz of that stuff, loved it in my 20s, but I might check it out some day and just get away, this is the longest I've ever been in one place. Anyway, it sounds like you have a great life where you're at. I decided if I'm still alive when all these animals are gone, I might just move to some small town somewhere, you never know. Actually, it's not so bad here, since I'm right inbetween Denver and Pueblo, and I really like Canon City, it's a little town, but surrounded by prisons, so I don't know that I'd actually want to live there. How can I help you here? If you haven't gotten into the training yet, then on the left side of your screen, select Certification Courses. Start with Course 1, there are about 10 courses in each of them. As you read or view training, try to do what they say. At the end of each section is a checklist, you check the things you've accomplished. The next time you go back into Certification Courses, it tells you how far you've gone in each course. Just start from where you left off.

Just do one thing at a time.
