Getting a little nervous here, I would to know if its advisable to use a ONE PAGE website for Affiliate Marketing?

Are you talking about your theme?

Hi SugaH, good question, but it's answered in the lessons. By going through each lesson and task you'll find that all the questions you have are there as well as saving you time and finances. Everyone started new and the simplest way to help you know what to do is by directing you to follow the lessons and tasks.

Here's the first lesson: Looking forward to seeing your success,
RitaAnn~

i would advise against them until you know what you are doing - it involves paid traffic and you can lose a lot of money.
stick to building a multipage site.
good luck if you go for it
phil

Okay, so you would advice I use my blog as homepage?

ah so you are asking about a static home page rather than a blog roll.
either is good - both have advantages and disasvantages.
static advantage - landing on here you have the opportunity to explain what the site is about and steer the visitor to various sections.
disadvantage- more work and can be difficult to optimize
blog roll advantage - home page always updating, so googl will see changes.
dis advantage - not able to steer visitors on a journey easily.
so they both have advantages and disadvantages.
it really is up to you.

Thank you for this info, I really don't like the blog roll as homepage, I hope google understands this

there won't be a problem with google - remember to design your home page with your visitors in mins.
Tell them what is on your site, why they should stick around and what to do.
people want to be led- it makesit easy for them - so be the person to lead them through your site.

Good morning, Good afternoon and Good evening guys ! Please I have a challenge and seek adequate advice.

I recently met a guy who wants me to help him build a website for

If you are building his site you would negotiate this with him. Yes, content would be included for the right price.

The first thing you need to do, assuming you want to do this, is agree on some metrics. How much content? How many pages. How many blog posts? How many words on average in each? How many images and what type?

If you don't get all that agreed and written down, you're likely to have a bad experience.

Then you have to agree a price. Set a price that you're happy with and that values your work.

If he doesn't agree, that's his privilege. Walk away from it.

Oh thank you Phil, I know the importance of "clarifying positions" in a negotiation. And these metrics you just mentioned are perfect for better understanding and implementation of the project. Thanks I have had them written out on my WA notebook so I never forget.
So if we have a win/win agreement on the above metrics, how do we go about hosting? Bearing in mind that WA premium would cost him a lot and he might not want host with WA?

There are a large number of excellent web hosting companies.

Just Google it and read the reviews. Read between the lines, too, as some reviews might be from affiliates.

Within reasonable parameters, you get what you pay for. Avoid the cheapest.

Noted# ...thanks Phil I will keep in touch about this. Hope you are having a good day?

Yes, please keep me updated.

It's Wednesday evening here and I'm relaxing with a drink. Thanks for asking.

I think that will derail you a bit from building your site.
Maybe if the offer is irresistible.

He wants to see a sample with contents before he says how much he will be willing to pay! I just want know the right way to negotiate a deal as this. It would really slow me down I know, just trying to get involved in a few things to keep up with my WA Sub which is most important to me. You know we are taught how to Work and Earn here.

I get you point now. This could be the beginning of many opportunities to come.
Understand what they want the website to look like. Splitting payments in three would work.
A third upfront, a third half way and a third after the job is done.

Yea I feel so too, and this payment method is perfect for me too...they just need to show some commitment for my time.

If he wants to see a sample site before paying, I'd set it up as a siterubix site. I don't like doing custom samples because people try to use them without paying. I point them towards work I have already done but if you're comfortable offering a sample, don't do too much.

If he likes the look on the free siterubix site, then go from there. You can export it to a file and then import your progress to the wordpress install on another host. If he is not paying directly for domain and hosting, at bare minimum you should get that up front.

Even once you have the site setup and content written, make sure he is paid in full before you give him access to the back end of the site. You don't want to be caught on the hook if he messes something up.

Okay thank you very much, would use the .siterubix as sample

How can I create a niche website about gambling addiction and turn it into a business? Thanks

All you have to do is follow the training to build your first website which you can make about any niche.

Interesting question. Sorry that I can't be of no help, but, I would love to know how this could work.

I do know from applying to ad networks, that a lot of companies frown upon gambling, and I know the site would be talking about addiction that I would assume you're helping others get rid of so, I am not really sure how this will work out.

This would be a great idea to help others in that area though.

Yea on this website its all about helping others, I suffered this addiction and I know a lot of people are looking for a way out.
I think @feigner has something interesting for us below.

this is an interesting one - similar to alcohol addiction - the first hurdle is awareness of your addiction - so you need to sort out who you are writing for - those who think others have an addiction or those looking for help with their addiction.
answerthepublic has a few questions - ideas for posts
and as long as you know a lot of psychology then you can write a lot about this subject
as for monetising there are affilaite programs along with motivational courses, seminars - books from amazon and i am sure other 1-on-1 coaching programs.
good luck with this niche
phil

Thanks you have sure pointed me in a direction, would keep you posted on my future endeavors on this topic thanks.
