What Clickbank Can Teach Us
If you are familiar with Clickbank Marketplace, you will notice a familiar theme running through all of their sales pages. Each sales page is THE main landing page to their product.
I know we are told to write content at WA and that is fine. However, I notice a high bounce rate from my site pages whenever I do a short paid ad campaign... I always try to write a relevant ad leading to a relevant post and can see that the problem does not lie with the ad, but rather with my site pages.
When looking closer, I realised that people do not exactly want to be faced with a load of text even with pictures on it. And this is where a sales landing page could come in, I could have a page with an optin form for people who would like to know more about the information I offer.
Or better still, have a landing page that looks similar to a sales page. Because Clicbank pages are very persuasive and effective, they are worth studying to learn sales copy secrets.
I do not want to come across as spammy or false, as some Clickbank product promotions clearly are. I would steer well clear of those.
Anyway these are my thoughts.

I suppose if someone is responding to a sales ad they want to go directly to it rather than have to hunt for it. So maybe a sales page the ad goes to would be better.

This is true.
Clickbank is an affiliate network for thousands of downloadable products by various vendors. It is very easy to join and was what got me started on my affiliate marketing journey.
I joined it, but got so overwhelmed that I backed off and haven't done anything with it since. I probably need a basic how to training on it.
It is very simple. You just need to know how to navigate round the site.
I wrote a review of how easy it is to join and make money with it on my topaffilliatepro.com site.
I just followed instructions and made money straight away because I had chosen a "best selling" product without knowing...
I did not even have a website then. I understand now that it is important to keep things simple and not over think the affiliate marketing process.
Which is send traffic to an affiliate page and make sales. The internet is full of people and will never run dry, so our job is to satisfy our target audience and solve their problems.

I joined ClickBank but haven't been able to figure out how to make it work for me just yet.
I have written a post about it at https://topaffiliatepro.com.
it is really simple. Choose a niche, and a hot product. Then promote your hoplink with Bing Ads, Google ads or Facebook Ads.
You don't need to spend much - maybe $10 a day for 3 days.
Then check in Google Analytics to see your best performing pages
under Audiences. Then interlink these pages to your product reviews.
After a while, you should see an increase in traffic to your best performing pages.
The next thing to do is check your bounce rate of your pages to lower it. WA Member MGaspary has written a post about reducing your bounce rate; How I Reduced My Bounce Rates To 64% Hope this helps!

Clickbank is not a product. It is an affiliate network of millions of products by thousands of vendors.
It is like Amazon, but for digital products in all kinds of niches. Just like you can be an Amazon affiliate, you can be a Clickbank Affiliate.
As time goes on and you become more advanced, you can become a vendor who gets affiliates to market YOUR product..
I did not review Clickbank as it is very well known. Rather, I chose to review a few hot products from their vast collection.
Thank you Stella, I get that. What I was not clear about is whether or not I would still have to do a product review of the item I choose to promote from ClickBank.
Yes, you can review Clickbank products.
However, you may need to buy one first in order to write an unbiased view...
Simply sign up for one month then cancel your membership before the 2nd instalment is taken from your account. You may also need to budget how much you are willing to spend on each product.
