As we all know, spam comments can become a big and really annoying issue as your website grows ...

All those spam comments can hurt your site in various different ways, and what’s worst is if you accidentally approve a spam comment, then it makes your brand look bad!

More than that, spam comments take up unnecessary space in your Wordpress database, making your site slower and slower ...

Luckily, there are multiple ways to block spam comments in Wordpress.

You can do it manually by reading and deleting them one by one, but that could be very time consuming if you have a popular, well-established website/blog.

Another method: you can use a CAPTCHA solution to avoid comment spam. CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. Not so long ago I already published a short tutorial on this topic. If you haven't seen it yet, here it is again:
